Monster bag
Here’s an introduction to monster bags inspired by characters like pumpkins, ghosts, and bats.
First, fold a rectangular sheet of construction paper into a square.
Next, fold it into a triangle and then fold the sides toward the center.
Fold the top layer forward and tuck the other layer inside.
Secure the creases with tape, and punch holes in the top corners.
Attach the facial features to the bag, thread a string through the holes, and it’s complete.
It’s also recommended to customize with tape or ribbons.
These projects are fun to make and to display—why not try making them with children?
Monster bucket made of yarn
These are Halloween cups made with paper cups and yarn.
The method is simple: just wrap your favorite color of yarn around a paper cup with double-sided tape on it! Then add a pipe cleaner as a handle and attach face parts like eyes and a mouth to finish.
If you use white yarn, it becomes a mummy-style ghost; if you use purple or yellow-green yarn, it turns into a cute, colorful monster.
And in true Halloween fashion, they’re practical too—you can use them to hold candy!

Here’s how to make a cute, puffy 3D ghost bag using a store-bought paper bag.
Prepare a paper bag, cotton stuffing, and a plastic bag or food storage bag.
The steps are very simple: cut one side of the paper bag into a ghost shape with scissors.
Then, fill a plastic or storage bag with cotton, place it inside the paper bag, and attach it so it fills the ghost-shaped cutout from the inside—that’s it! After that, draw the face parts and decorate around it to make it even nicer.
In the video, the ghost is made with white cotton, but it would also be fun to cut out a mummy shape, or use colored cotton to make a pumpkin or a bat!
Ghost and pumpkin gift case

When it comes to Halloween, we tend to end up making a lot of horror- or gothic-themed items, don’t we? I imagine many people would also like to create something cute.
For those people, I recommend this origami ghost and pumpkin gift case.
It’s a charming design that leaves a strong impression, and you can make it with a single sheet of origami paper.
The folding is a bit complex, but it’s still at a level that children can enjoy.
In the video, the facial features are made from paper, but drawing everything with a pen is also a great option.
Ghost Candy Bag

Let’s make a candy bag that looks great despite the simple steps.
First, cut off the rim of a paper cup and mark the drinking side so it’s divided into 16 sections.
Then draw straight lines from each mark down to the bottom of the cup, and make cuts along those lines with scissors.
Finally, take each strip that forms and tuck it into the neighboring slit, folding as you go—repeat this for all the strips.
That completes the main body of the candy bag.
To finish, use tape to attach the rim you cut off at the beginning to make a handle, and draw a ghost face on the body.
Done! It’s a practical craft you can use to hold candy or as a small container.
pumpkin candy holder

Halloween is filled with children’s voices shouting, “Trick or treat!” The perfect item for this season is a pumpkin candy holder.
Carrying a bag they made themselves will make the experience even more memorable for kids.
Fold a sheet of origami paper in half twice, then open it from the inside into a triangle.
Fold both sides inward and make creases.
Fold the triangular section inward and tuck it into the first triangular pocket you made.
Add creases along the sides, open it up, and the main body is complete.
Attach a face illustration and a handle, and your candy holder is ready.
pumpkin basket

When it comes to origami, many people probably think that once you make something, it just gets left alone afterward.
It’s true that origami often ends up as a purely decorative object after you finish folding it.
That’s why I recommend this pumpkin basket.
It’s a pumpkin-shaped origami modeled after a basket.
While the instructions are a bit challenging, once you make it, you can use it as a play item for pretend games.
You can also customize it by changing the material used for the handle, so try creating this piece in various patterns.
