Turn a single flower into a message card! This is a recommended idea for teachers who want to make flower-themed message cards using colored construction paper.
Roll a strip of colored paper thinly to create the stem, then attach it to a cut-out flower-shaped message card.
Write your message and it’s complete! It’s simple yet has a fun twist, so kids are sure to love it.

It’s a glamorous pop-up card, but the steps aren’t difficult, so it’s highly recommended.
For the large flower, use colored construction paper: trace a circle using a plate or similar object and cut it out, fold it, then round off the corners with scissors to complete the main large flower.
Sharpen the folds, glue it so the center aligns with the middle of a piece of colored paper folded in half, and you’re done.
Write a message inside the flower and decorate around it to make it even more vibrant.

Pop-up cards often seem complicated, with lots of cuts to make.
But with this idea, you can create one just by cutting a circle and leaving about 1 centimeter on the left and right uncut! All you need are rectangular sheets of construction paper for the base and the pop-up mechanism, plus cherry blossom pieces for decoration.
First, fold both the base and mechanism papers in half.
Then draw a large circle in the center of the mechanism paper and cut it out, leaving a small section on the left and right uncut.
Attach this to the base, and your pop-up card is complete.
Decorate the inside and outside of the circle with cherry blossoms and add a message to finish.

A bouquet is an essential gift for celebrations.
So why not handcraft a card with a bouquet motif? You can make it with a base that looks like wrapping paper and some flower parts.
For the wrapping paper, cut construction paper into a semicircle, then fold the left and right sides inward imagining an inverted triangle.
Cut the flower parts out of construction paper and make them look vibrant.
By making the flower centers the same color, you can create a sense of unity even if the petals are colorful.
Attach the flower parts to the upper center of the base, write your message below, fold the base closed, and you’re done!
