Let’s make memories together! Here are some hand-painted cherry blossom ideas.
You’ll need poster paper, paint, a roller, and scissors.
Spring is a season of meetings and farewells, so how about making cherry blossoms with the whole class? Paint the cherry tree trunk using a roller, and create the cherry blossom petals using the children’s handprints.
When decorating, it’s also lovely to display the children’s photos next to the cherry blossoms.
Just looking at it is enough to make you excited!
Cherry blossom tree made with plastic bags

You’ll need construction paper, a plastic bag, paint, a cherry tree shape made from construction paper, and glue or double-sided tape.
First, tie the bottom of the plastic bag tightly, turn it inside out, then blow into it and tie it off.
Dab paint onto the plastic bag, which will be puffed up like a balloon, and stamp it onto the paper to make big cherry blossom petals! Attach the cherry tree cutout made from construction paper, and you’re done!

Sakura tree made with transparent origami
https://www.tiktok.com/@pi_chan.sensei__hoiku/video/7355501146506595591I want to decorate a sunny windowsill! Here’s an idea for making a cherry blossom tree using transparent origami paper.
You’ll need brown construction paper, scissors, glue, transparent origami paper or colored cellophane, a clear file (plastic sleeve), and a cherry blossom-shaped frame made from construction paper.
Traditional-style cherry blossom crafts are lovely, but why not use this idea to create bright, stylish blossoms? Displayed by the window, they’ll sparkle in the sunlight and give off a different, delightful vibe.
Cherry blossom stamp made from empty containers
Let’s use a homemade stamp made from empty containers to create beautiful cherry blossoms! Put a plastic bottle cap over an empty lactic acid drink container, attach a piece of cushion sheet cut into a cherry blossom petal shape, and in no time your stamp is ready! Dab ink or paint onto the cushion sheet and stamp away—cherry blossom patterns will appear right before your eyes.
Kids will be captivated by the repeated patterns, no doubt about it! You can even make a stamp pad by placing a sponge inside a paper cup and soaking it with paint, so give it a try!
Make a bunch—so cute! Cherry blossom paper cutouts
https://www.tiktok.com/@hoiku.labo/video/7337882635483614482When you need lots of cherry blossom parts, why not try making them with kirie (paper cutting)? Even with the same shape, simply changing the origami colors or patterns and mixing the petals will create a striking wall decoration.
First, fold the origami paper into a triangle twice, then unfold it once.
Fold the top corner down to meet the bottom edge to make a crease, then unfold it.
Using that crease as a guide, fold down only the front layer of the top corner.
Align the left edge of the paper with the left corner of the small triangle you just folded down, and fold; then roll-fold it once more.
On the right side, fold it over to overlap the left side, align the shape, then fold back and fold the tip downward.
Draw a petal shape on top, cut along the lines with scissors, and when you open it up, you’ll have a cherry blossom.

Here’s a stamp art project featuring cherry blossoms using decorative balls.
You can use any kind of decorative ball for the stamp.
Clip it with a clothespin so your hands don’t get dirty.
Once your stamp is ready, draw the tree trunk on construction paper with a pen.
Then, using pink, red, and yellow paint, stamp the cherry blossom petals on top.
This alone makes a lovely piece of art, but if you want to make it even cuter, try adding flower-shaped rhinestones.

Here’s an idea for creating a vibrant cherry blossom tree using handmade stamps.
The stamps are easy to make, so try them with the children in your class! Paste a tree trunk onto white construction paper, then use a rolled-up flyer dipped in paint to stamp the shape of the cherry blossoms.
You can make the stamps by combining sponge sheets from a 100-yen shop with six plastic bottle caps.
Cut the sponge sheets into petal shapes beforehand.
To make the petals stand out, the key is to stamp with darker paint! A cherry blossom wall display that brightens up the graduation ceremony backdrop can be made enjoyably with handmade stamps—why not give it a try?
