A snake that spins round and round in the wind
https://www.tiktok.com/@shirouzugakuen/video/7085670821003382017Here’s how to make a snake toy that spins around in the wind.
You’ll need one sheet of colored construction paper in your favorite color, round stickers for decoration, and kite string.
First, draw a four-turn spiral on the construction paper.
Cut along the spiral with scissors, then decorate it with the round stickers in colors you like.
Use a compass or similar tool to make a hole in the center, thread the kite string through the hole, and you’re done! If you hold the string and run, the snake will catch the wind and spin around! Making a snake face out of construction paper is also cute and highly recommended.
There aren’t many steps, so give it a try with your kids.
Wiggly snake made from a toilet paper roll

Here’s how to make a wiggly snake toy using toilet paper rolls! You’ll need four toilet paper rolls, pipe cleaners, snake parts (like eyes and tongue), crayons, and glue.
First, cut each toilet paper roll in half with scissors, then take one half and cut it open down the middle.
Fold it in half to make a center crease, then round off the four corners with scissors to create a template.
Wrap this template around the remaining roll halves and cut them into rounded pieces.
Two of these will be the snake’s head and tail, so only cut out one side for those pieces.
Punch a hole near the top of each piece with an awl or similar tool, then thread a pipe cleaner through the holes to connect the segments.
Bend both ends of the pipe cleaner to secure them.
Glue on the parts, color with crayons, and you’re done!
A snake that stretches when wet with water

It grows when you pour water on it! Here’s how to make a mysterious snake.
You’ll need tissues, an oil-based color pen, a pencil, water, a spoon, and a plate.
First, draw any pattern you like on the tissue with the color pen, then wrap the tissue tightly around the pencil.
Slide it off while compressing the tissue, draw the snake’s eyes with a black pen, and it’s done! Place it on a plate and pour water over it with a spoon, and the snake will stretch out.
It’s very simple, so try making it with kids!

Hop and bounce! A snake made from a milk carton

It’s fun to hop and bounce! Here’s how to make a simple snake toy using a milk carton.
You’ll need a milk carton, four rubber bands, colored construction paper, glue, clear tape, and snake eye and tongue pieces.
First, cut off the spout section of the milk carton, then glue the colored paper onto the remaining carton.
Cut the carton into four equal sections.
On the four short sides, make slits just wide enough to hook rubber bands, and attach the rubber bands there.
Make four of these pieces, then connect the short sides of the milk carton sections with clear tape.
Finally, glue on the snake’s eyes and tongue, and you’re done!
Bero-bero snake

The snake’s mouth opens and closes! Here’s how to make a fun snake toy.
You will need colored construction paper, a black pen, and clear tape.
First, fold a long sheet of construction paper in half lengthwise and open it.
Then fold it in half horizontally so that the top side sticks out just a little.
From the bottom edge where the layers overlap, make vertical cuts upward.
Don’t cut all the way—leave a small part uncut.
Fold the paper in half vertically with the folded side on the outside.
Hold the part that sticks out with your hand and push and pull it; the cut section will open and close.
Finally, make the snake’s tongue from red construction paper and attach it with clear tape.
Draw the eyes with a black pen, and you’re done!
A snake made with colored construction paper and chopsticks

How about making a super realistic wiggly snake using colored construction paper and a chopstick? Cut slits into a rectangular sheet of colored paper, then form alternating loops.
Attach a chopstick in the center with double-sided tape, add the head and tail, and you’re done.
You can get interesting movement by attaching the chopstick from underneath, but if you attach it from above, the snake will look like it’s slithering along the ground with a very realistic motion! It’s a fun project to make with kids, so give it a try!
A simple-to-make twirly snake

Here’s how to make a simple twirly snake using a toilet paper roll.
First, prepare one toilet paper roll and cut it in a spiral with scissors.
Make one end thinner to look like the tail.
The other end will be the head, so round it as you cut, then draw the eyes and mouth to finish.
If you roll it on a flat surface, the snake will spin around with a fun motion.
You can also draw patterns on the body or add your favorite stickers to make it look great!
