You also see their commercials on TV quite often, don’t you?
Kirin’s commercial songs sometimes use existing tracks as tie-ins, of course, but there are also many cases where the featured performers sing parody versions, or popular songs are reinterpreted as acoustic self-covers—unique versions you can only hear in the commercials.

NO EXCUSEB’z

It’s a song included on B’z’s 19th original album, released in 2015.
It was used in a commercial for Kirin’s “Smirnoff Ice” and was written specifically for the ad.
Takahiro Matsumoto, who composed the music, said it was easy to create because the tie-in requested a specific style—“a beat like this,” and so on.
Conversely, Koshi Inaba, who wrote the lyrics, said it was difficult because there were no requests regarding the words.
Little Green BagGeorge Baker

Featuring Alice Hirose and Reina Triendl, this commercial introduces the dedication of the brewers who craft Kirin Beer’s Hon-Kirin.
It showcases many memorable quotes that reflect their passion for beer making, and the two actresses’ impressed reactions leave a strong impression.
The background music is George Baker’s “Little Green Bag,” a tune well-known from beer commercials.
Its light and refreshing melody is sure to lift your spirits.

In Kirin’s “Honkirin” commercial, ‘Today, let’s drink something truly delicious,’ along with the familiar faces of Tamori and Yosuke Eguchi, basketball player Yuta Watanabe also appears.
Eguchi passionately talks about the joy of having an evening drink while watching a basketball game, leaving a strong impression.
My Past Life, Many Lifetimes AgoRADWIMPS

This commercial, featuring Ayami Nakajo dressed in attire reminiscent of early modern European nobility, is for Kirin’s Gogo no Koucha (Afternoon Tea).
It portrays her reflecting on the connections between people that have been woven together with tea since the birth of afternoon tea culture, depicting what the CM’s title calls “What Tea Has Connected.” The background music is an orchestral arrangement of RADWIMPS’ “Zenzenzense,” which beautifully expresses one of the commercial’s themes: transcending time.
Let’s go see (someone).UA

This commercial, supported by KIRIN and JR Central, portrays a summer where, for the first time in four years, people can go see those they’ve been longing to meet.
It strikingly depicts the excitement building just before heading home and the lively reunions with friends at their destinations, powerfully conveying the joy of everyday life returning to normal.
A key point is the use of “Little Brown Jug” and “Let’s Go See,” tracks featured in each company’s commercials.
The buoyant feel of “Little Brown Jug,” which conveys a skipping heart, and the refreshing sound of “Let’s Go See,” which evokes expansive scenery, harmonize in a memorable way.
Nagi’s Long Vacation Main ThemePasukaruzu

This is a commercial for Hyoketsu’s new initiative focusing on delicious fruit that ends up being deemed non-standard, featuring the first installment highlighting Hama-nashi, a specialty of Yokohama.
It clearly conveys, through scenes of interacting with local farmers, that the taste remains unchanged even if the fruit doesn’t meet standards.
The lightness of “Nagi no Oitoma Main Theme” also seems to further emphasize the warmth of these interactions.
Kirin Lemon SongKAMISHIRAISHI Moka

Kirishima Moka, who is active both as an actress and as a singer, performs “Kirin Lemon no Uta.” Many artists have arranged this melody for Kirin Lemon commercials, but this version has been crafted into a pleasant piece that showcases Kamishiraishi Moka’s signature clear, translucent vocals.
Though short, both the lyrics and the performance are arranged in a way that brims with her charm.
It also uses a melody that’s long been familiar, so it’s delightful that you can sing along after hearing it just once.
