[2026] Japanese club music. J-DANCE
Broadly speaking, there are two types of clubs in the world.
One type is a club that functions like a community for enjoying specialized music.
The other is a club that plays tracks you can dance to, above all else.
Japan has a particularly well-developed culture of the latter, and club music has consistently been popular since the 1990s.
This time, we’ve picked out the latest tracks from Japan’s club music scene.
We’ve selected from a variety of genres, including EDM and house, so we think even hardcore fans of electronic music will enjoy it.
Please relax and enjoy to the very end!

Love Myself feat. kZm & Cony PlanktonYohji Igarashi

You’ll be overwhelmed by the avant-garde, noisy track-making and vocal work.
This piece by trackmaker Yohji Igarashi—who also writes songs for well-known artists—was released in September 2022.
It features rapper kZm and Cony Plankton, also known as the vocalist of the rock band TAWINGS.
The intense synth sound paired with kZm’s passionate vocals, and Cony Plankton’s gentle singing over acoustic guitar… it’s an artistic number whose striking contrasts will sweep you away.
MemoriesYonYon, 80KIDZ

There are times when you want to lift your spirits by listening to songs with positive messages, right? In those moments, I’d like to recommend “Memories.” It’s a collaboration between DJ and singer YonYon and the music unit 80KIDZ.
Set to gentle synthesizer sounds, the song delivers a message about moving forward without being defeated by hardships.
Another charm is the pleasing cadence of lyrics that weave together Japanese, English, and Korean.
Burn OutKAMEREON RAIMU UUPII PAI

Singer Chi-‘s solo project, Chameleon Lime Whoopiepie.
The song Burn Out is included on their first album, Orange.
It’s built around an addictive track with the title phrase repeated throughout.
Once you hear it, you’ll want to sing along too.
By the way, “burn out” means to be completely exhausted, so it can also be taken as a message to get everyone hyped and go all out together.
Hit The Bong feat. VOCA Luciano (Prod. DJ KEM)Japanīzu Magemanīzu

Hit The Bong was released in May 2022 by the rap unit Japanese Magemenace led by GONG Magomen and JAGGLA.
Okayama-born rapper VOCA Luciano is featured, and the track was produced by DJ KEM.
The lyrics create a world you’d want to describe as “music only they can make”—as expected.
Their unwavering direction grips fans’ hearts and doesn’t let go.
Give it a listen while paying attention to the laid-back, effortlessly relaxed track!
Day After Day feat. Mei Takahashipasokon ongaku kurabu

PC Music Club, a figurehead of Japan’s desktop music scene.
“Day After Day feat.
Mei Takahashi,” included on their album FINE LINE themed around “encounters with extraterrestrials,” is one of its tracks.
The song is crafted to depict the image of circling the same place over and over, like a planet.
Thanks in part to Mei Takahashi’s gentle vocals, it swells with energy while still evoking a certain bittersweetness.
