[2026] Japanese club music. J-DANCE
Broadly speaking, there are two types of clubs in the world.
One type is a club that functions like a community for enjoying specialized music.
The other is a club that plays tracks you can dance to, above all else.
Japan has a particularly well-developed culture of the latter, and club music has consistently been popular since the 1990s.
This time, we’ve picked out the latest tracks from Japan’s club music scene.
We’ve selected from a variety of genres, including EDM and house, so we think even hardcore fans of electronic music will enjoy it.
Please relax and enjoy to the very end!

Emergency Situation 3RED SPIDER

RED SPIDER is a solo project by reggae soundman JUNIOR.
He’s known for hosting large-scale music events and collaborating with many artists.
You won’t want to miss RED SPIDER’s release Emergency Situation 3 either.
The standout feature of this work is a mic relay where as many as 15 stellar artists take turns one after another.
The relay within just four bars is breathtaking, and each verse will leave you wanting to hear more.
LightsurferSANDAL TELEPHONE

The track “Lightsurfer” is striking for its translucent, synth-driven sound.
Released in 2022 by the idol group SANDAL TELEPHONE—affectionately known as Darphon—the song marks a shift from their usual dance music, which often leaned toward funk and city pop.
In “Lightsurfer,” they embrace a sound that evokes intense drum’n’bass and future house.
Since the foundation is still an idol song, its catchiness is exceptional.
It’s the kind of track that gets under your skin after just one listen!
Loveyahyel

I’d like to introduce “Love” as a song with a deeply moving message.
It’s a track by the three-piece rock band yahyel, included on their album “Loves & Cults.” As the title suggests, the album explores themes of love and worship, and within it, “Love” serves to delve into the question of what love really is.
The operatic chorus conveys a sense of grandeur and sanctity.
With its relaxing tone, it’s a song you can listen to while thoughtfully reflecting on love—another great way to enjoy it.
Namida (prod by GREEN ASSASSIN DOLLAR)ALLDAY

AllDay, released in 2023 by the music group Namatra, a driving force in the J-hip-hop scene, is a song that expresses honest emotions felt in everyday life.
In the hook of the chorus, which conveys what truly matters to them, the gentle melody and lyrics intertwine.
Their flow over a chill beat with an ambient vibe evokes a sense of calm.
It’s a track that showcases the distinct rap skills of the three members, each wrapping around the laid-back production in their own way.
Villain’s Poem REMIXD.O × Red Eye

D.O, who enjoys charismatic popularity as a hip-hop MC, and Red Eye, who drew attention after his performance at the High School Rap Championship.
Their synergy shines on “Akutō no Uta REMIX,” a top recommendation in club music.
Red Eye slices through the darkness of modern society with sharp lyrics, while D.O lays back with a loose groove, repeating the same lines—the contrast is totally addictive!
