LazuliMONGOL800×WANIMA

The collaboration piece Lazuli by MONGOL800 and WANIMA.
While the song has a lively vibe, the vocal lines are surprisingly gentle.
Many of WANIMA’s standalone tracks span a wide range, but since this one is a collaboration with MONGOL800, the key has been set to match them, resulting in a narrower vocal range.
In addition, there are no advanced techniques like falls or shouts, so even men who aren’t confident in their singing ability should be able to sing it smoothly.
The Zero Sense10-FEET

This is 10-FEET’s 22nd single, released in November 2022 as a digital-only single.
It was selected as the ending theme song for the film THE FIRST SLAM DUNK.
It’s crafted as a very cool medium-to up-tempo rock song! The vocal melody is simple and easy to follow, so to sing it well, I think it really comes down to projecting as powerfully as you can and staying firmly locked into the rhythm of the backing track to keep the sense of groove.
Don’t sweat the small details—belt it out with strength and enjoy riding the rhythm as you sing! If you also pay attention to the rests between phrases, it’ll feel even better, so definitely experiment and fine-tune your approach.
I’d rather die.Fuji Kaze

This is a track from Fujii Kaze’s 1st album “HELP EVER HURT NEVER,” which was released in May 2020.
It has a slightly languid vibe that’s quite appealing.
The vocal melody sits mostly in the lower range and isn’t very wide, so I think it’s relatively easy to sing even for those who aren’t confident singers.
Since the track’s key feature is its trap-style beat, be careful not to let the vocal rhythm become flat.
In the final chorus the melody jumps up an octave, so if you’re not comfortable singing in falsetto, try keeping the same melody but aim your voice toward your upper palate; it should make your tone sound a bit brighter.
Of course, it’s also helpful for developing your falsetto, so I recommend it as a practice piece as well.
Sing, sky of JapanSazan Ōrusutāzu

This is Southern All Stars’ fifth digital-only single, released in August 2023.
Incidentally, the previous single, “Bongiri Koiuta,” and the next single, “Relay ~ Mori no Uta,” are said to form a trilogy with a shared theme.
This song alone conjures up the refreshing summer seaside air and a relaxed flow of time.
The vocal melody and the range used aren’t very wide, making it a gentle tune you can casually hum and enjoy, so it should be easy for anyone to sing.
Please relax your shoulders and enjoy it.
It might even be a song that helps those who usually feel reluctant to sing rediscover the joy of singing!
Song of Springsupittsu

It’s Spitz’s 30th single, released in April 2005.
It was issued as a double A-side with “Teku Teku.” True to its title, it’s a song with a comfortably breezy rhythm and tempo that evokes the fresh winds of spring, and vocalist Kusano’s clear singing further enhances that refreshing feel.
In the original, the key is set slightly high for an average male singer to make the most of Kusano’s clear high tones, but aside from that, the vocal melody and phrasing are simple and easy to remember, making it a very singable song for karaoke.
When you sing it, do a little prep and find the key that suits you best.
Angel’s SuitcaseSIX LOUNGE

SIX LOUNGE is a three-piece rock band from Oita.
Hailed as the next big act in the Japanese rock scene, their music is gritty, no-frills rock.
The masculine energy in their songs and vocals is seriously cool.
The vocal range isn’t very high, so it should be very easy for male singers to cover.
The tempo isn’t too fast or too slow either—just right for singing.
DororoASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION

A track by ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, a band that continues to lead Japan’s rock scene.
The vocalist, Masafumi Gotoh, is known for his irresistibly rich voice brimming with masculine charm! While some Ajikan songs are in a higher key, this one is especially recommended for men with lower voices.
Why not try channeling him—nasal nuances and all—and make the song your own?
