April windElefanto Kashimashi

It’s Elephant Kashimashi’s 10th single, released in April 1996.
At first, it was treated as a double A-side together with Kanashimi no Hate, which is included on the same single, but later this track seems to have been reclassified as the B-side (coupling track).
Hiroji Miyamoto, Elephant Kashimashi’s singer, has a very unadorned vocal style—refreshingly un-polished in a good way—so I think this is a song anyone can casually hum along to.
Even if your voice gets a bit raspy or you miss the pitch a little in the high parts, don’t worry too much—just sing it through.
I’m sure it will still sound good; in fact, I feel that rather than belting it out flawlessly, singing it that way makes it a song that “connects” more.
Speaking as a vocal coach, I can’t exactly recommend that approach, though (laughs).
Moonlight FlowerJanne Da Arc

This is the 23rd single by the Japanese visual kei band Janne Da Arc, released on January 19, 2005.
It’s a very cool medium-to-slow tempo track with a symphonic arrangement! What’s more, the vocal melody isn’t particularly complex, so I think anyone can casually hum along and sing it.
In the high notes of the chorus, try to avoid letting your voice get thin and refrain from using falsetto—sing it in chest voice if possible.
If the key feels high, please lower the karaoke key.
The tempo and rhythm are on the heavier side, and the arrangement is very dramatic, so when singing, just be careful not to make it sound light.
As mentioned, the melody itself is very easy to sing, so even those who feel less confident about singing should definitely give it a try!
TSUNAMI feat.RYKEYDADDYDIRTY(Prod.dr.D.classics)COCRGI WHITE

COCRGI WHITE, aka MU-TON.
Lately, he’s been making waves in the public eye with what you might call a beef—or a problem—with RYKEYDADDYDIRTY.
This track, “TSUNAMI feat.
RYKEYDADDYDIRTY (Prod.
dr.D.classics),” was made before any issues arose with RYKEYDADDYDIRTY.
Since the rap is delivered in a spoken style, I think it’s very easy to perform for men who aren’t comfortable with complex flows.
HouyouKawaharada Shinichi

This is the sixth single overall from Shinichi Kawaharada, who is also active as an actor, released in December 2020.
The warm, embracing melody of “Houyou” gently wraps around listeners.
Its universally approachable style suits any singer, making it a surefire candidate to grow as a karaoke staple.
If you sing it with heart, you’ll naturally feel a sense of connection with those around you.
Kawaharada’s sincere vocals draw you in, and singing along can even make you forget the fatigue of daily life.
Why not hum this unpretentious song and let go of everyday stress? It’s a track that will remind you of the joy of singing.
Real-time singer-songwriterTakahashi Yuu

Singer-songwriter Yu Takahashi, known for his catchy, emotionally impactful lyrics, has earned widespread popularity.
While his early work leaned toward orthodox rock, he’s recently been releasing many highly original tracks.
Among his catalog, Real-Time Singer-Songwriter is a standout recommendation.
Its vocal line is extremely catchy, and with a fair number of sustained notes, you can aim to rack up points with vibrato.
There’s a key change, so it has a bit of a quirk, but the vocal line itself is simple—definitely consider adding it to your repertoire.
DramaHilcrhyme

Hilcrhyme is a hip-hop solo project by TOC.
Active since 2006, they’ve consistently released hit songs up to the present.
Among Hilcrhyme’s tracks, one I especially recommend is Drama.
Released as the theme song for the TV series Enjiya Re:act, this piece encapsulates Hilcrhyme’s signature pop-friendly, easy-to-sing rap style.
Despite the sharp, punchy melody, the vocal line is very simple—so give it a try.
My NoteSukima Suichi

It’s Sukima Switch’s seventh single, released in March 2006.
It seems it was produced as the theme song for the animated film Doraemon: Nobita’s Dinosaur 2006.
Sukima Switch’s vocalist, Takuya Ohashi, is a singer whose voice has a charming, slightly unadorned quality, and that appeal is brought out to the fullest in this gentle ballad.
The vocal melody is straightforward throughout and easy to sing, but there are spots where you need to switch to falsetto.
If that’s not your strong suit, please practice so you can shift smoothly before giving it a try.
