Even Karaoke Beginners Can Relax! Songs That Are Easy for Men to Sing (361–370)

TRUE LOVEFujii Fumiya

This was Fumiya Fujii’s second single as a solo artist, released on November 10, 1993.

It seems it was included in a high school music textbook published by Kyoiku Geijutsu Sha in 1998, so some of you might even have sung it in music class at school.

It’s a relaxed, acoustic piece with a very straightforward melody that easily sticks in your head, so even people who don’t usually sing much should find it very approachable to pick at karaoke.

In truth, singing a gentle song like this with solid yet soft vocal production is actually the hardest thing to do, but if you don’t pursue it that far and simply trace the melody and lyrics, it’s a very singable track.

Fujii delivers this simple arrangement and melody with his hallmark expressive power, so you might want to use that as a reference.

Magic CarpetKawasaki Takaya

This is a song by Takaya Kawasaki, included on his album “I believe in you,” released on July 25, 2018.

It was selected as the theme song for the LINE drama “My Family’s LINE Is Exhausting lol,” which streamed in December 2020.

Kawasaki himself saw Shiki Theatre Company’s musical Aladdin, and this song was reportedly created, inspired by that experience.

Throughout the entire track, the acoustic guitar sound is very pleasant, resulting in a heartwarming piece.

The vocal melody is also very warm and gentle, so even those who aren’t confident singers will likely find it easy to hum along.

If the high notes feel tough, try lowering the key in karaoke and sing it in a range where you can keep a soft, gentle tone.

If I become a superstarback number

He went through a heartbreak but doesn’t want it to end like this… This song captures a man’s resolve to start a band and vow to grow, hoping to win back the person he loved.

It carefully portrays the protagonist’s feelings as he moves from self-deprecation to a determined, forward-looking mindset, making it highly relatable.

Included on the album “Superstar,” released in October 2011, the track spans a wide vocal range, but its highly empathetic lyrics make it easy to sing with feeling—perfect for karaoke.

It’s a compelling song that gives a push to anyone who wants to revive a dream they’d almost given up on.

Why not give it a try?

Heroineback number

Heroineback number

A winter love song that delicately portrays the protagonist’s aching feelings.

Its faint, tender romance is supported by back number’s signature nuanced storytelling and warm musicality, resonating deeply with listeners.

Released as a single in January 2015, it also became well known as the campaign song for JR East’s “JR SKISKI.” Later, in 2020, Shimizu Iyori’s stripped-down solo version was featured in a commercial for Kirin’s Tanrei Green Label.

Singing of a bittersweet winter love, the song’s relatable lyrics and gentle melody appeal to all genders, and its singability is part of its charm.

At karaoke, make the most of its comfortable range for a soft, heartfelt performance.

Amenbo Plus is a YouTuber duo popular for comedic videos depicting the daily life of a high school baseball team.

Their concept has caught on so well that they’ve even released a manga, and their popularity is skyrocketing.

This “Kaihou Exercise” is a comic song featuring the team’s coach and players as they appear in the videos.

Since Chibanyan from Repezen Chikyuu handled the composition, the hook is highly addictive.

Both the hook and the rap parts are very easy, so be sure to add it to your repertoire.

Be the soil that makes flowers bloom, rather than the flowers themselves.berii guddoman

A heartwarming message song that sings the value of those who support others and work hard behind the scenes.

Rather than glamorizing the people who shine on center stage, it brilliantly captures the spirit of those who keep supporting from the shadows.

Its lively sound—melding pop and R&B—stands out alongside a melodic progression.

Written by the three members of Beverly Goodman for broadcast on NHK’s “Minna no Uta” starting in December 2024, the song’s powerful energy and warm vocals resonate with everyone facing life head-on.

It’s a track meant for those who worry about going unnoticed at school or work, and for those who keep dedicating themselves to someone else.

WANDERERHand Lamp

WANDERERHand Lamp

Hand Lamp is a three-piece rock band from Okayama.

Known for their straightforward lyrics and melodies, they’ve been steadily growing their fanbase in the Japanese rock scene thanks to their accessible sound.

Among their songs, the one I especially recommend is “WANDERER.” While the track leaves a refreshing impression, it surprisingly has a relaxed tempo and a relatively narrow vocal range, making it easy to sing even for those who can’t hit high notes or aren’t confident in their sense of rhythm.
