Aimyon – You Don’t Listen to Rock [OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO]
You don't listen to rock.aimyon

A coming-of-age love song that tenderly yet purely captures a boy’s feelings as he wants to share his favorite music with a girl who doesn’t listen to rock.

Aimyon’s true-to-life lyrics blend beautifully with a melody that lingers in your ears, creating a heartwarming track.

Even while sensing their different musical tastes, the wish to grow closer by sharing the record filled with his precious memories is truly moving.

Released in August 2017, the song received power-play rotation on 42 radio stations nationwide and has earned broad support as one of Aimyon’s signature tracks.

It’s not only easy to sing, but its lyrics from a male perspective also make it especially recommended for men—chances are you’ll feel comfortable singing it without hesitation.

[Male Vocal] Aimyon - “On Nights When Cherry Blossoms Fall” / Theme Song of “Don’t Be Fooled by Love and the Wolf” / Covered by Seigo Hirota / [Full Version]

AIMYON’s second digital-only single, released in February 2021.

The original is sung by a female vocalist, but it’s a very straightforward, catchy song that’s easy to hum along to, so as long as you adjust the key, I think men can absolutely enjoy singing it as well.

The video we’ve included is intentionally not of the artist herself, but a version sung by a man, so please use that as a reference and give it a try.

Although this article introduces karaoke songs that are easy for men to sing, having men sing songs originally by female vocalists can be really great too!

DRESSING ROOMnatori

Singer Natori has a distinctive, somewhat childlike tone despite his low voice.

Many low-voiced male singers probably include his signature song “overdose” in their repertoire.

Among Natori’s tracks, the one I especially recommend is “DRESSING ROOM.” Rather than being a low song, it’s better described as not high, making every section comfortably singable.

The vocal line moves gently up and down, so it’s perfect if you want to sing with a languid, ennui-filled vibe.

Doki itnaniwa danshi

An uplifting song that captures the hopes and anxieties of young people heading into a new chapter, set to an exhilarating rock sound.

Combining the unique freshness and strength of Naniwa Danshi, the track was released in February 2025 as the CM song for AOKI.

Since their debut, the seven members have embraced various forms of expression, and here they encourage those taking a new step forward with down-to-earth lyrics.

Carried by a sleek, urban groove and a danceable beat, its warm message affirms your true self and resonates deeply.

It’s a perfect pick for anyone feeling nervous about starting a new life, or for livening up karaoke at spring welcome and farewell parties.

MPurinsesu Purinsesu

A classic by Princess Princess that tenderly sings of a woman’s delicate feelings after heartbreak.

It begins with a quiet piano and builds into a grand ballad as instruments layer in, as if releasing pent-up emotions.

The words, penned by Kyoko Tomita based on her own experiences, express both the pain of a breakup and the courage to move forward.

Included on the album “LET’S GET CRAZY,” released in November 1988, the song was reintroduced the following year as the B-side to “Diamonds.” Thanks to its timeless appeal, it has been covered by many artists, including Hideaki Tokunaga and Masayoshi Yamazaki.

When tackling songs originally sung by female vocalists, checking whether male artists have covered them could be a useful tip for choosing pieces that are easier to sing.

It was also used as the theme song for the drama “Seija no Kōshin” (March of the Saints).

Needless to say, it’s a female-vocal track, but it’s one of those songs that still looks and sounds good when sung by a man.

The vocal melody doesn’t require a very wide range, so even men who struggle with high notes should be able to sing it without difficulty.

In fact, when men who aren’t good with high notes choose songs, female-vocal tracks often end up being quite singable options.

When a man sings a female-vocal song, I think it’s common to drop the key by an octave; on the other hand, if the low notes feel too tough, try adjusting the key up by about +2 to +3.

Snow BlossomNakajima Mika

A winter love song distinguished by its lyrical arrangement of piano and strings.

Released in October 2003, the track beautifully portrays the deep affection and strong bond between lovers against a snowy winter backdrop.

Mika Nakashima’s wistful vocals exquisitely capture pure romantic feelings and poignant longing, resonating deeply with listeners.

With its gentle tone and soft melodic line, it’s a song that even men will find approachable to sing.

Recommended for expressing your feelings to someone special or for performing in romantic winter moments.
