When the cherry blossoms bloomFujimaki Ryota

Ryota Fujimaki, known as the vocalist of Remioromen, is now also actively working as a solo artist and has produced several notable songs.
Among his tracks, the one I especially recommend is Sakura no Hana ga Saku Koro (When the Cherry Blossoms Bloom).
Perhaps because his musical style hasn’t changed, this piece has a classic J-pop finish.
The vocal range is about average, and since there are no sudden pitch jumps or advanced techniques required, it’s definitely a song where it’s easy to aim for a perfect score.
day by dayKANA-BOON

KANA-BOON is a rock band that has created theme songs for various anime and dramas.
Their style is characterized by catchy melodies with a touch of humor, and they’ve produced numerous classic tracks over the years.
Among their songs, the one I especially recommend is Hibiki (“Hibi”).
The melody conveys both delicacy and passion, but the vocal line itself is simple, without dramatic rises and falls in pitch.
The tempo is relaxed as well, so it’s a solid choice if you’re aiming for a high score at karaoke.
OsanpoSOCKS & DJ RYOW

An impressive piece that portrays everyday life with a dog, “Osanpo.” Although it was released over a year ago, it recently went viral on TikTok.
So even those not well-versed in hip-hop might find it familiar.
The song’s most singable feature is, without a doubt, its narrative-style rap.
While hip-hop with complex, high-difficulty flows is mainstream these days, this track unfolds with a flow that feels like normal speech, making it easy to perform even for people who struggle with rap.
PredatorAKASAKI

Starting her career as a singer-songwriter at the young age of 16, AKASAKI skyrocketed to fame when her 2024 release “Bunny Girl” became a massive viral hit.
Her songs, woven from the fresh sensibility unique to a teenager, a mature perspective, and outstanding songwriting talent, are all remarkable—so much so that not only her peers but also working adults in their 20s and beyond will find themselves wanting to sing them at karaoke.
The same goes for “Predator,” released in May 2025: it’s a killer tune that showcases AKASAKI’s signature taste, deftly blending a J-pop vibe reminiscent of the early Heisei era with a stylish, 2020s feel.
Its catchy hook will have you humming along after just one listen.
When singing it at karaoke, try delivering it lightly without overexerting, but avoid sounding too flat—be mindful of your breathing spots and aim for a smooth, flowing performance!
Rhyme Wave Phrase DisciplesCHEHON

The classic song “Inbaku-to” has been loved for many years.
It’s a signature work by reggae deejay CHEHON, and when it was released, it became an explosive hit in Osaka, the holy land of Japanese reggae.
Nowadays, with CHEHON active in the MC battle scene, it’s also gaining support from younger generations.
Although the track has a pleasant flow, it doesn’t feature particularly difficult phrases.
The vocal range is very narrow, so most men should be able to sing it without trouble.
Unrequited loveSUPER BEAVER

If you want to aim for a perfect score with an emotional ballad, we recommend Kataomoi.
This song by the popular band SUPER BEAVER features straightforward, catchy musicianship typical of a classic band sound.
There’s relatively frequent vibrato, but there aren’t many sustained long notes belted at full volume, and the melody doesn’t move up and down quickly, so it’s easy to keep your pitch on track.
There’s a section with a slightly spoken delivery partway through, so just pay extra attention to the pitch there while you sing.
You’re My Only Shinin’ StarKadamatsu Toshiki

Originally, this song was written by Toshiki Kadomatsu for Miho Nakayama, and what I’m introducing here is his self-cover version in which Kadomatsu himself sings it.
It was released on November 25, 1999.
Kadomatsu is known to be very strict about singing and possesses a very high level of vocal ability himself, but perhaps because the piece was written for Miho Nakayama, who was something of an idol at the time, it’s built around a very familiar, easy-to-hum melody.
Since the version provided to Nakayama was released in 1988, the song faintly carries the “bubble era” vibe of those days.
I think it’s one of the best choices as practice material for people who have been reluctant to sing until now.
The section at the end that becomes almost a cappella may be difficult to sing, but please give it a try!
