[McDonald’s] Bacon Potato Pie 15-second Commercial

Epitomizing Tamio Okuda’s rock ’n’ roll flair, his signature song “Easy Rider” was used in 2021 as the jingle for the Bacon Potato Pie commercial.

Even if it’s not your generation, it still screams youth!! And the older you get, the more it hits you—that’s the mark of a true classic.

Its pleasantly abstract lyrics keep you from overthinking and just encourage you to walk on with your favorite music; that message resonates every time you listen.

The going-my-own-way style transcends eras and lifts your spirits.

Melty Hot Pie: “Everyone, great job!” Edition

McDonald’s Melty Hot Pie New CM: “Everyone, You’re Amazing!” featuring Sairi Ito

Uchikubi Gokumon Doukoukai is a rock band that blends elements of punk and heavy metal.

Their song “I Don’t Want to Get Out of My Futon” expresses the feeling of not wanting to leave the blankets on a winter morning.

Its hallmark is two contrasting parts: one sung with a laid-back vibe, and the other delivered with intense, shout-like vocals.

This song is featured in the commercial for Melty Hot Pie, titled “Minna, Erai” (“Everyone, Good Job”).

Only the former, relaxed part is used in the ad, so you might be surprised when you hear the full version for the first time.

Tsukimi Pie / McFlurry Tsukimi “Daughter” Version

“Daughter” Yukino Kishii calls her hometown “father” Ken Mitsuishi to reminisce about moon-viewing; McDonald’s releases a new web video

It was selected as the CM song for McDonald’s Tsukimi Burger, which is released every autumn, in 2020.

Since the song was also released in the fall, it’s a perfect fit for the season! As a single, it’s their first love ballad, themed around a long-distance relationship.

The new commercial featuring actor Ken Mitsuishi and actress Yukino Kishii—used in the “Tsukimi Pie / McFlurry Tsukimi ‘Daughter’” version—tells a story of parental love and bonds.

Viewers reacted enthusiastically, with comments like “Isn’t this year’s McDonald’s Tsukimi series commercial just the best?” and “It really hits the spot.”
