Since discovering music during my school days, I’ve mainly listened to Japanese and Korean pop. ‘Goin’ Home.’” This is a song in which the American composer William Arms Fisher arranged and added lyrics to the main theme of “Largo,” the second movement of Dvořák’s “New World Symphony.” The gentle melody perfectly suits the homely interaction and the slightly lonely nighttime atmosphere, leaving a memorable impression.

“Daughter” Yukino Kishii calls her hometown “father” Ken Mitsuishi to reminisce about moon-viewing; McDonald’s releases a new web video

It was selected as the CM song for McDonald’s Tsukimi Burger, which is released every autumn, in 2020.

Since the song was also released in the fall, it’s a perfect fit for the season! As a single, it’s their first love ballad, themed around a long-distance relationship.

The new commercial featuring actor Ken Mitsuishi and actress Yukino Kishii—used in the “Tsukimi Pie / McFlurry Tsukimi ‘Daughter’” version—tells a story of parental love and bonds.

Viewers reacted enthusiastically, with comments like “Isn’t this year’s McDonald’s Tsukimi series commercial just the best?” and “It really hits the spot.”

The background music is a cover of Amin’s signature song “Matsu Wa,” performed by Yagi and Nakajima.

A commercial titled “Happy Meal Graduation” portrays the growth of a cute big sister who moves on from Happy Meals and orders the same set menu as adults.

Featuring Akira Ishida of NON STYLE, the ad uses The NeverEnding Story Theme performed by the Dutch band Kayak.

The song was originally the theme for the German-American film The NeverEnding Story.

It was first sung by the English singer Limahl.

Brimming with dreamlike imagery perfectly suited to a fantasy film, the track evokes the question of what answers lie hidden within an endless journey.
