Tokyo Spring Music FestivalFri, Mar 13 – Sun, Apr 19, Tokyo

Tokyo Spring Music Festival is a classical music celebration in Ueno Park that began in 2005. The venues include a range of cultural facilities lined up in Ueno—famed for its cherry blossoms—such as Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, the Sogakudo Concert Hall of Tokyo University of the Arts, as well as museums and art galleries. The festival presents original programs including the Wagner Series, Riccardo Muti’s Italian Opera Academy, and “Wagner for Children” in collaboration with the Bayreuth Festival. In 2026, it will be held from March 13 to April 19.

Barley Food Music FestivalFri 3/13 – Sun 3/15, Osaka Prefecture

Mugishoku Oto Festival 2026 “After EXPO” is an urban festival where food and culture from over 40 countries gather, built on the international connections fostered through the Osaka-Kansai Expo. The venue is the Lower Plaza of Expo ’70 Commemorative Park in Suita, Osaka Prefecture. In addition to a large assembly of multinational foods, artists and groups who actually performed at the Expo will also appear. Admission is free, the event will be held rain or shine, and it will take place from March 13 to 15, 2026.

Okuma School Festival OKUMA ODYSSEYSaturday, March 14 – Fukushima Prefecture

Okuma Town will host the reconstruction and exchange event “Okuma School Festival 2026 OKUMA ODYSSEY.” Centered at the Okuma Incubation Center and also using the Ono Station West Exchange Area, the event will feature a wide range of artists including GLIM SPANKY, Schadaraparr, and MONKEY MAJIK, along with gourmet booths and a comedy stage. Held concurrently with the “Zero-Carbon Festival in Okuma,” it will take place in March 2026 as a zero-carbon event implementing carbon offsets.

HARAJUKU MUSIC FES produced by BEAMSTokyo, Saturday 3/14–Sunday 3/15

Produced by BEAMS and staged as the marquee program of the Tokyo Creative Salon Harajuku area, this is a roaming music festival. Set across three venues—Omohara no Mori, THE COFFEE BREW CLUB, and BEAMS Harajuku—you can experience Harajuku culture, where music, fashion, and art intersect, for free as you explore the city. In March 2026, a total of 16 artists will bring a fresh groove to the streets of Harajuku.
