In the UQ Three Sisters series, the middle and youngest sisters—Mikako Tabe and Mei Nagano—appear in the commercial titled “Film Shoot.” The music used in this ad is “UFO” by Pink Lady, a legendary idol duo representing the Showa era, whose name and sound resemble “UQ mobile.” Released in 1977, the song became Pink Lady’s biggest hit, along with its distinctive dance.
In the commercial, the shout at the beginning of the original track has its lyrics changed to “UQ” to match the company name.
Many people who listened to Pink Lady in real time when the song was first released can probably still perform both the dance and the song perfectly!

This is a cover of ‘Zenryoku Shounen’ by Mei Nagano.

In it, Masahiro Motoki and Mei Nagano face each other in a tea room, with a cup of tea placed between them.
The garden in the background perfectly matches the image of the music.

In the CM, however, it’s not Rats & Star or member Masayuki Suzuki singing.
The lyrics also aren’t the same as the original; they’ve been cleverly rewritten to match the content of the commercial.
