NTT’s TV commercials often feature clever concepts—some are funny, others are striking and memorable.
The music they use also includes many catchy songs that stick in your head.
But even if you find a song you like, you might think, “I’ve heard this so many times, but I don’t know the artist or the title!” If I can help answer those questions, I’d be delighted.
With a star-studded cast—including Gen Hoshino, who’s also active as an actor, comedian Naomi Watanabe, and the promising actress Kanna Hashimoto—the ads are a feast to watch.

NTT commercial songs: Top 10 popular commercial tunes (1–10)
filmHoshino Gen

This is the NTT Docomo iPhone 11 student discount commercial titled “Kanna and Minami’s Album,” featuring Kanna Hashimoto and Minami Hamabe.
The ad shows their adorable high school life captured in photos on an iPhone, and it’s so cute it practically dazzles.
The CM song is Gen Hoshino’s “Film.” Released in 2012 as Hoshino’s second single, the track also served as the theme song for the film “The Woodsman and the Rain.”
AI Insurance Song (Memeshikute Ver.)Kageyama Hironobu
This is a web commercial for NTT Docomo’s AI Insurance.
The title is “AI Insurance Song,” and it’s a parody of Golden Bomber’s signature hit “Memeshikute.” The vocalist is Hironobu Kageyama, known as the Emperor of Anison.
He delivers a fun performance that perfectly matches the ad’s content, making the already comical “Memeshikute” even more enjoyable.
The CM is also styled like a karaoke music video, which makes it really entertaining to watch.
It’s the kind of song that makes you want to sing along!
Flash!!!King Gnu

This commercial is a hot combination for the moment: featuring Takeru Satoh with a CM song by King Gnu.
It’s NTT Docomo’s “docomo 5G: Let’s Accelerate Hope” ad.
The new 5G communication system is a big topic on TV and has everyone’s attention.
In this CM, which conveys the appeal of 5G in a clear and engaging way, Takeru Satoh plays multiple roles by himself.
The name of King Gnu, who perform the CM song, also appears.
Their track “Flash!!!” was released digitally in 2018, and it’s an exhilarating number included on their second album, “Sympa.”
JOINTRIP SLYME

It’s a track released by RIP SLYME in 2003.
You might remember it from the Docomo “Melody Call” commercials.
That was a service where you could change the ringtone that played when someone called you, and back then some people probably set this song, “JOINT,” or their own favorite track.
The flowing melody, the summer-evoking, playful lyrics, and the members’ flows stack together to make an incredibly satisfying number.
It’ll put you in an open, liberated mood!
astronomical observationBUMP OF CHICKEN

BUMP OF CHICKEN’s “Tentai Kansoku” was used as the song for NTT Docomo’s 2013 commercial “d Hits: Summer Memories.” The ad featured Tori Matsuzaka and Satomi Ishihara.
When you think of BUMP OF CHICKEN, this is the iconic track—an unforgettable youth anthem that resonates across generations.
It’s a beloved number everyone knows, perfect for karaoke and easy for everyone to sing along to.
EXILE PRIDE ~To Love a World Like This~EXILE

It’s a song that suggests the small things we’ve built up over time come together into one great achievement, and that the bonds we’ve forged are precious.
It tells us that nothing on the path so far has been wasted, and that it’s important to carry it all with us as we move forward.
Buzz Off![Alexandros]
![Buzz Off![Alexandros]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/0KbXoUWLsJE/hqdefault.jpg)

This is NTT Docomo’s student discount commercial, the “Ayano-sandros?” version.
It features Shinichi Tsutsumi, Go Ayano, Mitsuki Takahata, and the members of [Alexandros].
The story is a classic “middle-aged man” mix-up, where Shinichi Tsutsumi mispronounces the popular student band “[Alexandros]” as “Ayano-sandros.” The catchy phrasing and the scene where Go Ayano actually joins as a guitar-vocal are so cool that you can’t help but get drawn in.
The song “Buzz Off!” is included on [Alexandros]’s fifth album, ALXD.
