Lovely commercial jingle

NTT’s commercial song. A popular jingle.

NTT’s TV commercials often feature clever concepts—some are funny, others are striking and memorable.

The music they use also includes many catchy songs that stick in your head.

But even if you find a song you like, you might think, “I’ve heard this so many times, but I don’t know the artist or the title!” If I can help answer those questions, I’d be delighted.

With a star-studded cast—including Gen Hoshino, who’s also active as an actor, comedian Naomi Watanabe, and the promising actress Kanna Hashimoto—the ads are a feast to watch.

“Ayano Sandros?” Episode

Buzz Off![Alexandros]

This is NTT Docomo’s student discount commercial, the “Ayano-sandros?” version.

It features Shinichi Tsutsumi, Go Ayano, Mitsuki Takahata, and the members of [Alexandros].

The story is a classic “middle-aged man” mix-up, where Shinichi Tsutsumi mispronounces the popular student band “[Alexandros]” as “Ayano-sandros.” The catchy phrasing and the scene where Go Ayano actually joins as a guitar-vocal are so cool that you can’t help but get drawn in.

The song “Buzz Off!” is included on [Alexandros]’s fifth album, ALXD.

It served as the tie-in song for the NTT DoCoMo Group’s 10th Anniversary, coinciding with Mr.Children’s own 10th anniversary.

It may be less well-known among their singles, but it’s a masterpiece that teaches the importance of staying true to yourself when there’s no clear right answer.

The melody really sinks in, and above all, the lyrics are so good that they draw you in.

The mobile phone era feels nostalgic, doesn’t it? The song overflows with a kind of kindness that helps you feel connected to others and accept yourself.
