Let’s make a pie using purple sweet potatoes.

First, slice the purple sweet potatoes into rounds and steam them.

Then put them in a pot, add water and sugar, and simmer.

Next, add lemon juice and candied chestnuts and mix well.

After that, sandwich the filling between pie sheets, brush the top with egg yolk, and bake in the oven.

For the bottom pie sheet, pre-bake it in the oven for about 5 minutes before placing the purple sweet potato mixture on it.

If you cut slits in the top pie sheet, it will look nicer and let steam escape.

You can also press the edges with a fork to seal the pie sheets together.
