Songs and staging in the spotlight! A roundup of Pocari Sweat commercial songs (81–90)
I’m smitten with you.Yoshida Yō, Suzuki Rio

The Pocari Sweat commercial featuring Yoh Yoshida and Rio Suzuki doing the Awa Odori is particularly memorable.
The song they sang at that time was YMO’s “Kimi ni, Mune Kyun.” And the person who handled the arrangement and production for their cover was none other than YMO member Yukihiro Takahashi! It’s said that during the vocal recording, the two even received direct coaching from Takahashi.
With a pop, feminine arrangement, it overflows with cuteness—perfectly matching the playful dancing the two do in the commercial.
Original songAqualung

The song that played in the Pocari Sweat “Ion Water” commercial, the “Appearance” version featuring Kyoko Fukada, is an original track by Aqualung, the stage name of British singer-songwriter Matt Hales.
The gentle acoustic guitar tones combined with Aqualung’s delicate falsetto create a dreamy, floating feeling.
The word “ion” evokes a soothing effect, and this calm number seems like it could softly ease away the fatigue of a long day.
We will keep on living ♡DREAMS COME TRUE

This song is a collaboration by DREAMS COME TRUE as part of the 30th anniversary of Pocari Sweat, and it was written specifically for this commercial.
That year, they collaborated with Pocari under the name “Dori × Pocari” and held a special live performance.
Walk with DreamsDragon Ash

Dragon Ash’s “Walk with Dreams” was used in the Pocari Sweat commercial featuring soccer player Yuto Nagatomo.
After its digital release in July 2012, it was re-released two months later as a double A-side single together with “Run to the Sun.” This song became the last track to feature bassist IKUZONE, who passed away that spring.
It’s a passionate, quintessentially Dragon Ash pep song, imbued with the message: keep walking through your short time in life while holding onto your dreams.
It reminds us that when you do something, you’ll face all sorts of opinions and even the worst setbacks, but it’s better to act and grow than to do nothing at all.
