Blue dancesKitatani Ruki

Tsubaki and Anji Ikebata appear in Otsuka Pharmaceutical’s Pocari Sweat commercial “Blue Dances.” It portrays high school students savoring their youth as countless cherry blossom petals flutter around them.
Playing in the background is a gentle song: “Blue Dances,” written specially by Ruki Kitaya, inspired by the content of the commercial.
With no spoken lines in the piece, the music gives voice to the characters’ feelings.
I hope you’ll watch it along with the special behind-the-scenes video capturing the making of the shoot.
I’ve gotta do the thing that seems impossible.Sambomasutā

Sambomaster’s “Dekikkonai wo Yaranakucha” sings that no matter how impossible something seems, if you don’t give up and keep trying, you can absolutely do it.
Released in 2010, the song was used as the theme for the drama “Cheer★Dan” and featured in various commercials.
The cheerleading team JETS from a high school in Fukui Prefecture—the model for that drama—collaborated with Sambomaster and Pocari to create a web movie.
This collaboration produced a cheering anthem that not only supports the high school students featured in it, but also gives a push to many others—sure to bring courage and energy to anyone going through tough times!
Clear Skies (Sekai ver.)Leo/need

This is the song that plays in Pocari Sweat’s web movie “Today Is a Perfect Pocari Day!”, sung by Leo/need, a unit from the game Project SEKAI COLORFUL STAGE! feat.
Hatsune Miku.
Composed by Orangestar, the track perfectly suits the band-themed unit, evoking a strong sense of summer freshness and youth.
While highlighting hydration with Pocari Sweat, the visuals of the Leo/need members enjoying summer align with the music, further enhancing its refreshing atmosphere.

A Pocari Sweat commercial featuring Yo Yoshida and Rio Suzuki as a mother and daughter, with Miyu Murata joining them as well.
Starting in December 2023, three versions of the commercial have aired, with the song Karakara, written specifically for the ad by chelmico’s Mamiko Suzuki.
The gentle melody and vocals, which feel like they’re warmly watching over the three as they gleefully play outside in the chilly, leaf-strewn air, are striking.
It makes you wonder what kinds of unseen worlds these three, from different generations, will dive into next.
Through various kinds of play, the song evokes a sense of exploring and opening up those unseen worlds.
Our Song2

Since 2016, Pocari Sweat has collaborated with students through the Pocari Dance.
However, in 2020 students couldn’t gather in person, so they created a choral performance using selfie videos submitted by students on TikTok! The original song is by a band called “2,” known for its striking phrase, “Now!!” Centered around Yuki Shiotani, each participant sings from their own location and showcases their own dances and movements.
In 2020, a year when many things were given up or put on hold, the powerful voices of students living in the “now” are truly breathtaking.
Swaying feelingsYoshida Yō, Suzuki Rio

The Pocari Sweat commercial featuring Yoshida Yō and Suzuki Rio is striking for their beautiful harmonies.
The song they sing is ZARD’s “Yureru Omoi.” In fact, this track was also used as a Pocari Sweat commercial song back when it was released in 1993! The actress who appeared in the commercial then was Sae Isshiki.
More than 25 years later, the song has been brought back as a Pocari Sweat commercial theme through a cover by these two actresses.
Don’t miss their refreshing vocals that capture the feeling of summer!
