The CM features Anji Ikehada and Takumi Nishigaki, depicting everything from their casual, everyday moments to their wedding scene.

It shows a relationship where they can be completely themselves with each other, and seeing the two of them so happy makes you feel happy too.

The background music is “Koisuru Otome,” released in 2006 by Ikimonogakari.

It’s a ballad that portrays straightforward feelings of love and has captured the hearts of many listeners across generations.

This amusing exchange between Hasegawa Shinobu, the owner of an izakaya, and a regular customer, Etsushi Toyokawa, is from a commercial for AirREGI Order.

It’s a service that lets customers place orders at their table using their own smartphones, and the ad highlights its convenience and benefits.

At the end of the commercial, there’s a punchline that shows Toyokawa’s humorous side, so be sure to watch each version all the way through.

Recruit Zexy 2006Kana Kurashina

[RECRUIT] Zexy Historic TV Commercial Compilation ①: 1st–5th Generations [All 13 Versions]

The TV commercials for the wedding magazine Zexy are among the most representative of the Heisei era, aren’t they? Among them, many people likely remember this particular commercial featuring Kana Kurashina, who served as the fourth “Zexy Girl.” The background music was Kazuyoshi Saito’s “Wedding Song,” which is also memorable to many.

The song was originally composed as a short piece specifically for the commercial, but due to the strong response after it aired, the rest was written and it was released as a CD—so the story goes.

Recruit Car Sensor “Carsensor’s High” versionNanao

This commercial conveys the fulfillment and joy of a life with a car through the image of Nanao speeding along in a vehicle.

The fact that the car racing through is an older model is also a key point, suggesting that with Car Sensor you can find your ideal car.

The song used in this commercial is L’Arc~en~Ciel’s “Driver’s High.” Its lyrics and sound capture the exhilaration of driving, and it also conveys a sense of hope—like carving out your own future through your own strength.

In fact, the commercial’s footage is a parody of the song’s music video, so try comparing the two.

Recruit Staffing Ganbare wa, Meguru. “Basketball” version / “Volleyball” versionRyunosuke Kamiki

It’s a commercial that portrays basketball and volleyball players giving their all, while also conveying how that effort spreads to others.

The powerful gaze in the narration by Ryunosuke Kamiki is striking, and it really communicates a sense of future hope—that the effort you’re putting in now can inspire someone else to start giving their all too.

Recruit Agent Whispering Couple: “Handwashing Area” / “Entrance” / “Elevator”Issey Takahashi, Yuya Yagira

This commercial features Issey Takahashi and Yuya Yagira speaking to people who are voicing their worries about changing jobs, telling them how helpful Recruit Agent can be.

Because the whispers unfold in everyday places like at the sink, in the entrance hall, and inside the elevator, it conveys that you can use the service casually at any moment.

There’s also a sense of comedy in how it looks as if the whispers aren’t reaching the people.

“Search with your smartphone” — smartphone user version

[Official] SUUMO TV commercial: Searching on a smartphone — “Using a smartphone” version

This is the TV commercial for the real estate site SUUMO, operated by Recruit, titled “Search on Your Smartphone — Smartphone User Version.” While waiting for the food they ordered to arrive at a stylish café, Suumo sits and searches for a home on their smartphone.

Since it’s taking a while, they even start house-hunting on a tablet.

You can’t help but wonder who that briefly appearing “smartphone user” at the end really is.
