Cute for wrapping too! How to fold a ribbon

This is a stylish way to fold a ribbon for wrapping.
Fold the origami paper into a triangle twice, then fold it twice more to make a square.
Crease along the folds, place the side that doesn’t open on top, and bend it slightly.
Open it up, then fold it again along the square formed in the center.
Fold a few centimeters inward from the edges and open it, then make five small cuts with scissors to shape it into a ribbon.
The three-dimensional form and the way the ribbon ends cross downward make it look just like the real thing.
It looks lovely on gifts and wrapping, so give it a try.
A Fluffy Ribbon Made with Just Half a Sheet of Origami Paper

This fluffy, cute ribbon is perfect for wall decorations and gift wrapping.
Since you only use half of a square sheet of origami paper, you can make two ribbons from one sheet! First, fold it lengthwise in half to make a crease, then fold both edges toward that crease.
Fold it in half so that the short edges meet, make triangular creases on the end that doesn’t open, and unfold.
Using the X-shaped crease in the center as your axis, continue folding, then open it out into a ribbon shape.
Open the corner formed in the center, spread the ribbon ends, tuck in the corners, and gently puff and shape the whole piece with a wavy finish to complete it.
Recommended for decorations! How to fold a ribbon

Here’s an easy way to fold a ribbon from a single sheet of origami paper.
First, fold it in half horizontally, then fold the sides toward the center crease.
Fold it in half vertically, then fold it in half horizontally.
Open one layer and squash it into a triangle; repeat on the other side.
Continue folding while making creases, and when you open both sides, the ribbon’s center will appear like an origami balloon.
Press that center flat, and finally make small cuts with scissors on the left and right to shape it, and you’re done.
It looks like a detailed ribbon, but it’s surprisingly easy to make, so give it a try!

Cool! A box with a ribbon

Let’s use two sheets of origami paper to make a cool lidded box with a big ribbon! First, for the box (the side that holds items), fold the entire sheet inward toward the crisscrossed diagonal crease lines, progressively folding everything toward the center.
For the lid, fold it into a triangle twice, open it into a pouch, and fold both sides into squares; then, on the sides where the corners aren’t open, fold small triangles.
Once that’s done, unfold it once, then shape the lid along the crease lines while also forming the ribbon.
Apply glue to any parts that flap or lift to secure them.
Combine it with the box you made first, and you’re done!
Ribbon box with a lid
This is a lidded ribbon box that makes you want to get creative with the color and pattern of the origami you use.
For the lid, first make X-shaped creases both vertically and diagonally, then collapse it into a square.
Add a small triangular crease to the corner that won’t open, unfold the whole piece, and use the small square formed in the center to create the ribbon and then the entire lid.
For the box, after making creases such as the diagonal X and vertical lines, shape it into a box by folding along the creases.
Try different combinations of colors for the lid and the box as you make it!
Ribbon message card

This piece can be used as a message card to accompany a gift.
It’s a very stylish origami creation that looks like a gift box with a ribbon.
You can make everything—from the gift box to the ribbon—using a single sheet of origami paper! Create many creases both vertically and horizontally, fold the edges into long, narrow strips, and have them become the ribbon in the final step.
Shape it into a rectangular gift box, and finish by tucking the lower ribbon section into the upper part of the ribbon.
Write your message on the area that opens up where you tucked it in, and give it as a present!
Make it with a single sheet of origami! Ribbon Box

This is a cute ribbon-shaped box that lets you put items on both the left and right sides of the ribbon.
Using double-sided origami paper with colors or patterns on both sides is recommended! First, make three vertical creases and an X-shaped set of diagonal creases, then fold along the creases to form a triangle by tucking the paper inward.
After folding a small triangle at the non-opening corner, unfold the whole piece, and, keeping the small square formed in the center in mind, fold around it.
Since this small square becomes the center of the ribbon, spread out both sides so they form box-like compartments.
By carefully using the guiding creases as you open it up, you’ll end up with a neat ribbon shape! It might also be nice to make it with larger origami paper.
