Soflan commercial songs: Popular commercial songs (1–10)

Lion Soflan S

Original song

198X Lion Soflan S

It’s a nursery rhyme-style song based on rock ’n’ roll from a commercial that aired in the 1980s and was loved by children at the time.

Isn’t it likely the commercial was made with the idea that a child would beg their mother, saying, “Mom, my sweater keeps crackling, so buy Soflan”?

See, the Conqu’ring Hero Comes – Handel [A standard piece for award ceremonies and graduations]
Behold, the hero returns.Georg Friedrich Händel
Soflan Premium Deodorizer 'Early Take-In' Version (with Subtitles) / 15 Seconds / LION

It’s a commercial for Soflan, Lion’s fabric softener.

I wondered what the “flying torikomi” mentioned in the ad title meant, so I watched it… and it turns out it means bringing in the laundry before it’s completely dry! Many of us have probably done this “flying torikomi,” and when we do, the laundry often ends up smelling later, right? But the ad emphatically claims that if you use Soflan, even if you bring the laundry in early, it won’t smell! Also, don’t miss Tsuyoshi Muro’s wonderful smile! The song that plays near the end of the commercial is Handel’s “See, the Conqu’ring Hero Comes,” a classic for award ceremony BGM.

Many people may recognize the tune even if they don’t know its title.
