Lovely summer song

Songs by TUBE. A list of TUBE’s classic hits and recommended popular tracks.

When you think of TUBE, you think of summer songs! It’s true that the majority of their hit songs are themed around summer, and they’re strongly associated with wearing aloha shirts all year round, but of course they’re active in other seasons as well.

They perform live shows throughout the year, too.

They’ve been labeled a “perpetual summer band,” but this time we researched songs that don’t fit that image.

You might discover TUBE’s charm from this different side of them, including some hidden gems—so please take a look!

Season in the SunTUBE

TUBE’s breakout hit, released in 1986.

It’s a classic that could be called the very definition of a Japanese summer, beginning with a refreshing intro featuring beautiful harmonies reminiscent of the Beach Boys.

Composed by Tetsurō Oda—who also worked with ZARD and Nanase Aikawa—the song is crafted into a refined, city-pop-inflected rock tune.

This is a song released in 2015 that evokes TUBE’s grand image of summer.

It also became a familiar tune after being chosen as the ending theme for April on TBS’s hit information program “Hiruobi!”, hosted by Honjamaka’s Megumi.

Good-bye…TUBE

It’s a song included as the first track on TUBE’s fifth original album, released in 1987.

It sold over 300,000 copies and became a major hit following “THE SEASON IN THE SUN,” which had been released six months earlier, propelling TUBE into the ranks of popular artists.

Nice! Hawaiian.TUBE

Speaking of summer, it’s TUBE.

This song is packed with everything that makes TUBE who they are—endless summer vibes, the ocean, and aloha shirts.

So what kind of wonderful place is Hawaii, a destination they even write songs about? If you listen to this track, which practically says, “You’ve got to visit at least once!”, you might find yourself wanting to head straight to Hawaii.

Remember meTUBE

It’s a dramatic love ballad by TUBE.

It sings about lovers whose relationship isn’t going well, but the lyrics express a wish to get back together with a former partner, pleading “don’t forget” and “remember me.” Women who have once broken up and later reconciled might be moved to tears.
