Ballad of the SeaTUBE

When you think of TUBE, they’re a band you just can’t separate from Japan’s summer.
This is a ballad from that quintessential summer band, themed around the sea.
It’s the final track on their self-produced album “My TUBE,” created during a songwriting camp on a southern island, and it vividly conjures up the image of gazing at the ocean at dusk.
The song seeks solace in the vast sea, a calm piece that also hints at the end of summer.
When your heart is worn out by sadness or hardship, perhaps feeling the grandeur of nature—like in this song—is exactly what you need.
Farewell, YouthTUBE
TUBE’s “Saraba Seishun” is included on their 21st album, which was released in the summer of 2001.
Due to its popularity, the album was also slated for re-release in the summer of 2003.
After its release, an outdoor live tour was held as well.
At the end of summerTUBE

Speaking of TUBE, they’re practically synonymous with summer anthems—their beach songs fit so well that many are indispensable on any coastline.
Amid all that, this single-minded unrequited-love ballad is rare, but it’s a track where vocalist Nobutoki Maeda’s singing ability stands out even more.
While it’s a song about unrequited love, it’s also a love song that sings of heartfelt feelings.
Purity ~Pyuriti~TUBE

A song by TUBE that was used in a Meiji Life Insurance commercial.
While maintaining its passionate vibe, the slightly mellow tone is striking.
In addition to this track, TUBE provided other CM songs for Meiji Life, and even included the company’s name in a tour title, showing how strong their connection was.
RIDE ON SUMMERTUBE

The commercial song for Ajinomoto’s “Knorr Cup Soup Made with Cold Milk.” It’s TUBE’s 60th single, released in July 2016.
The lyrics were written by Nobuteru Maeda, and the music was composed by Michiya Haruhata.
It’s a summer song that evokes memories of past lovers and looks forward to new encounters.
The catchy chorus melody is something you’ll want to listen to over and over again.
