[2026] Female-vocal Western music bands. Plenty of rock and metal bands introduced too! (71–80)
Our Lips Are SealedThe Go-Go’s

A pure pop song written by Jane Wiedlin, guitarist of The Go-Go’s, and Terry Hall, the British musician who was the lead singer of The Specials.
It became their first hit after they started out as a punk band in the late 1970s.
Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)Eurythmics

Eurythmics, the legendary duo who churned out hit songs in the 1980s and enjoyed worldwide popularity.
In fact, when they first formed, they were in a romantic relationship.
As their careers progressed and they wanted to focus more on the music, they ended their romance and continued as partners.
Their greatest appeal, above all, is their electronic sound that makes extensive use of synthesizers.
In “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This),” too, the track showcases the best of 80s electronic music.
Walk Like an EgyptianThe Bangles

A song written by songwriter Liam Sternberg, who got the idea while riding a ferry.
It was one of The Bangles’ biggest hits, but it’s reportedly not their “favorite song” because it compromised the rock-oriented sound they wanted.
Bridge of DestinyArch Enemy

A legendary figure in the hardcore scene, known to all.
After lineup changes they now have a different vocalist, but this is a track from the era with the former singer.
Many fans were surely shocked by screams you’d never expect from such a beautiful presence.
Their high-speed riffs are one of their weapons, but the sense shown in the intro of this track is truly outstanding.
Who am I fooling?Ninja Dolls

Japanese culture seems to be popular overseas as well, with a punk band that even has the word “ninja” in its name.
I feel that straightforward punk bands themselves are gradually declining in Japan, but this track is crafted in a way that makes you believe the fervor may wane yet never disappear.
The Devil Inside Of MeCOBRA SPELL

An all-female band from the Netherlands that plays 80s-style melodic metal.
Formed in 2019, they released their debut album “666” on December 1, 2023.
Their signature is a sleazy metal sound paired with lyrics that explore sensual themes of love, desire, and rebellion.
Centered around Sonia Anubis, the lineup features the distinctive talents of Cristina Vega, Roxy Herrera, Noelle dos Anjos, and Ale Nafta.
Influenced by the golden era of the 80s, their music blends nostalgia with freshness for a compelling result.
Highly recommended for those drawn to the combination of powerful female vocals and metal.
Control (Jane Bond)Svetlanas

Svetlanas is a slashcore band formed in Milan, Italy.
They’re known for high-level musicianship and devilish vocals.
While they aren’t widely known in Japan, they have a strong, lasting following among slashcore fans and across Europe.
Their classic track “Control (Jane Bond)” features a high-tempo rhythm and vocals with shouts across every part, making it a standout.
It’s definitely a song that won’t be for everyone, but those who like it will absolutely love it!
