Energize MeAfter Forever
This is a Dutch band that released its debut album in 1999 and enjoyed popularity as a top-tier presence in the gothic metal scene until their breakup in 2009.
Leading the charge as the face of the band was vocalist Floor Jansen, a female singer with a background in musical theatre and opera who also teaches vocals.
With a voice capable of everything from beautiful, operatic tones to powerful shouts, she proved her talent after the band’s dissolution by officially joining Nightwish, the world-famous Finnish symphonic metal band.
She leans more toward a rock-oriented style, so they’re highly recommended even for those who haven’t listened to much gothic metal.
Don’t Wanna FightAlabama Shakes
Alabama Shakes is a band that works in genres strongly influenced by Black music, such as Southern rock and Americana.
Brittany Howard, the lead vocalist and guitarist, is also highly regarded for her guitar technique.
Their classic song “Don’t Wanna Fight” was released in 2015 and won major titles like the Grammy Awards for Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance.

Although they’re categorized as an alternative band, they’ve released many positive, melodious tracks.
By stripping away excess and keeping each sound clear, their songs are very easy to listen to—truly the perfect embodiment of “stylish.”
Out Here All NightDamone
This is a song by the hard rock band Damone, active since 2001.
While the sound is heavy and hard-hitting, the melody is poppy, catchy, and extremely pleasant.
It’s a quintessential hard rock number.

Garbage was a band formed by Butch Vig, who had made a name for himself as the producer for Nirvana and The Smashing Pumpkins, so there were high expectations from the very beginning of their debut.
