The Ukrainian metalcore band JINJER’s appeal lies in the overwhelming vocal prowess of their female vocalist, Tatiana Shmayluk.
Masterfully switching between beautiful clean singing and ferocious growls, her voice creates a unique sound that sets the band apart from others.
Formed in 2009, JINJER has been gaining worldwide attention with an artistic ensemble that, while rooted in metalcore, also incorporates progressive elements and jazz-inspired approaches.
Since the onset of the crisis in Ukraine, the band has been active around the globe, playing an important role in sharing Ukrainian culture and the country’s current situation.
Boogie ManThe Hellfreaks
The Hellfreaks, a band from Hungary, have many songs influenced by punk rock and psychobilly, and their makeup and fashion are distinct and unique.
The track I’ve selected this time is an upbeat number with a high-speed shuffle rhythm.
Cherry BombThe Runaways
This is a song written by The Runaways’ manager, Kim Fowley, and guitarist Joan Jett for their debut album.
The title was taken from the name of lead singer Cherie Currie.
It depicts rebellion against parents and other adults.
