Misery BusinessParamore
Paramore is a rock band from Tennessee.
Unusually for an emo band, they have a female lead vocalist.
Their vocalist, Hayley, is known for handling everything from powerful belts to delicate singing.
Their song “Misery Business” is one of their signature tracks and won Best Video at the Kerrang! Awards.
However, the song has also drawn a lot of criticism for its perceived anti-feminist content despite being a hit.
In response to this, Paramore announced that they would no longer perform it.
That’s a shame.
Bring Me To LifeEvanescence
At the time of their debut, they were described in Japan as “Hikaru Utada singing Linkin Park,” and this Gothic metal band Evanescence sparked a heavy rock boom with their beautiful vocals and loud sound.
The song was the second single from their first album, Fallen, and also serves as the album’s opening track.
Featuring low-end riffs that use low B—a staple in today’s rock scene—and crystalline vocals, it offers a charm distinctly different from male-fronted rock bands.
OutsidersAgainst The Current
Against The Current is a pop-rock band that gradually gained popularity by uploading covers of hit songs on YouTube.
The band originally consisted only of men, but as they started gaining attention on YouTube, their current vocalist, Chrissy Costanza, joined.

Formed in London in 2021, The Last Dinner Party is a five-piece all-female rock band currently attracting the most attention.
They released their debut album, “Prelude to Ecstasy,” in February 2024 and have sparked a global movement, including being selected for the prestigious “BBC Sound of 2024.” Their sound blends indie rock with baroque pop, featuring lyrics that are both provocative and tinged with emptiness, and a theatrical worldview.

Heart Of GlassBlondie
Blondie, known as one of the quintessential bands of the new wave music that sparked a boom in the 1970s, has sold 40 million records worldwide and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006.
Their signature song “Heart of Glass” was released in 1978 and topped the charts in numerous countries.
Since it was also used in Japanese commercials, many of you may already be familiar with it.

As bands featuring powerful yet beautiful female lead vocals garner attention, Canada’s Spiritbox has captured the hearts of music fans who closely follow the modern metalcore to post-hardcore scene.
Formed in 2017, they released their debut album Eternal Blue in 2021, captivating a wide range of listeners with sounds spanning progressive metal, nu metal, and even R&B.
Vocalist Courtney LaPlante’s exceptional technique and chaotic sound have electrified metal fans around the world.

RonniePicture Parlour
The indie rock band Picture Parlor from Manchester has been attracting attention both inside and outside the industry since their formation in 2021.
Centered on female vocalist Katherine Parlor, their sound is characterized by a melancholic euphoria.
In June 2023, they released their debut single, “Norwegian Wood,” bringing a fresh breeze to the rock scene.
Influenced by Nick Cave and Fleetwood Mac, their music is marked by Katherine’s deep voice and melodic guitar riffs.
