Bands and Artists from Aomori: From Veterans to Rising Talents, All at Once (11–20)
R.Y.U.S.E.IELLY (Sandaime Jē Sōru Burazāzu from Eguzairu Toraibu)
ELLY, a performer from the well-known group Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS from EXILE TRIBE, is an artist from Misawa City in Aomori Prefecture.
In the music video for their massive hit “R.Y.U.S.E.I.,” he showcases a glamorous dance performance set to a fast-paced, exhilarating beat.
beyondSWALLOW
SWALLOW is a three-piece band from Misawa City, Aomori Prefecture, formerly active under the name No title.
The members are Haruto Abe on guitar, Honoka Kudo on guitar and vocals, and Yuto Taneichi on keyboard.
They won the Best Band Award and the Overall Grand Prix at LINE Audition 2017.
In the 2019 film Ai Uta: Yakusoku no Nakuhito, Kudo served as the featuring vocalist.
Their song Koete was selected as the theme song for Aomori Asahi Broadcasting’s Mezase Koshien 2018.
It’s a band distinguished by clear vocals and a refreshing sound.

Kanade Sakino, a member of the female vocal unit CYNHN, is from Aomori Prefecture.
She won the Grand Prix at the joint audition held by JOYSOUND and Dear Stage in 2016.
Her special skills are cartwheels and forward roll with splits.
She used to be in a choir and loves singing—if you haven’t heard her voice yet, please give it a listen.
As CYNHN, the advance release of “Hyouka” began in November 2020.
Many fans might have been surprised when Kanade Sakino, who had long hair, switched to a short haircut.
A Small Love Song (MONGOL800 Cover)d-iZe
d-iZe, former leader of Goose house who delivered music from a share house, is a singer-songwriter from Hirosaki City in Aomori Prefecture.
Since 2014, he has focused on solo activities.
In October 2012, he produced his first solo album, “i-D,” and later released a nationwide-distributed album, “IN A BEDROOM,” in 2016.
He has deep ties to his hometown Aomori; notably, in 2016 he created the theme song celebrating the 120th anniversary of a department store in Hirosaki, reflecting his community-rooted activities.
He is currently active not only in music but also as an MC on television and radio programs.
aloneKitayama Yoichi (Gosuperazu)
Yoichi Kitayama of The Gospellers is an artist from Hachinohe City and serves as the bass.
After graduating from Aomori Prefectural Hachinohe High School, he entered Keio University and joined The Gospellers, which already existed as an a cappella club group.
By the way, leader Mr.
Kitayama is from Osaka Prefecture, Mr.
Kurosawa is from Hachioji City in Tokyo, Mr.
Sakai is from Kariya City in Aichi Prefecture, and Mr.
Yasuoka is from Fukuoka City.
Quite a wide spread from north to south.
LA FIESTALIKIYA（THE RAMPAGE from EXILE TRIBE）
LIKIYA, who is active as the leader of THE RAMPAGE from EXILE TRIBE, is from Misawa City in Aomori Prefecture.
He took part in the 2014 audition project to join EXILE, EXILE PERFORMER BATTLE AUDITION, but unfortunately was eliminated partway through.
However, he was later named as a candidate member of THE RAMPAGE and went on to become an official member.
He has outstanding talent in dance, even handling choreography for the group’s songs himself.
Incidentally, his older brother is ELLY from Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS.

Yellow CorvetteThe Hakaikosenz
The Hakaikosenz are a three-piece band from Aomori that champions “Reiwa Punk.” Formed in 2022, they center their identity on broadcasting from their hometown of Aomori.
Since 2024, they’ve been releasing albums in quick succession, including Hakaikosen and My Sun, My Cradle, and they’ve also charted in the iTunes punk category.
Their sound is pop-punk that blends high-velocity beats with catchy melodies everyone will want to sing along to.
They’re a recommended band for anyone who wants to experience an energetic, fiery live show.
