All of YouKanō Yoshimasa (BALLISTIK BOYZ from EXILE TRIBE)

Yoshimasa Kanou, who is active as a vocalist for BALLISTIK BOYZ from EXILE TRIBE, is from Sendai City in Miyagi Prefecture.
After being selected as a finalist in the 2017 audition VOCAL BATTLE AUDITION 5, he was chosen to join the group.
Their debut album, BALLISTIK BOYZ, released in May 2019, reached No.
1 on the Oricon Weekly Chart.
His standout, commanding vocals—and the group as a whole—have proven their talent, with accolades such as winning the Rising Star Award at the MTV VMAJ 2019.
One million “I love you”sRake

Rake is the singer-songwriter launched by the Sendai-based Edward Entertainment Group after the hits by Monkey Majik and GReeeeN.
This song became a big hit, especially on FM radio stations.
It has been covered by various artists and is a well-loved track.
Some people might only know this one song and think of him as a one-hit wonder, but Rake actually has many excellent pieces.

A rock band based in Miyagi, delivering dry, UK rock–inspired guitar tones and impulsive melodies.
Formed in 2021 and centered around vocalist Naoki Yamashita, they blend the raw energy of garage rock with a modern cool edge.
Their 2022 album “THE FIRST” drew significant attention, selling out at some shops on the day of release, and in July 2024 they released the album “and the good…”.
They also engage in storytelling-driven projects, such as composing songs in collaboration with a fiction posting site.

Awakening HeroismKoki (Antikku Kohiten)

Teruki, the drummer of the five-member visual kei rock band An Cafe (Antic Cafe), is from Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture.
“Kakusei Heroism” is included on their 12th single, “Kakusei Heroism ~THE HERO WITHOUT A ‘NAME’~.” It was selected as the opening theme for the MBS/TBS anime DARKER THAN BLACK.
Mileage of LoveArai Kenichi (RAG FAIR)

Kenichi Arai, a member of RAG FAIR, is from Miyagi Prefecture.
This song was released in 2002 as their second single.
It debuted at number one on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart, and it also drew attention because Jun Nagura, a senior from their agency, appeared in the music video.
They performed at the 53rd NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen, singing this song.
Late bloomerSasaki Rikako (Anjurumu)

Rikako Sasaki, a member of ANGERME, is from Kesennuma City in Miyagi Prefecture, and this was the first single released after the group changed its name from S/mileage to ANGERME.
It was used as the ending theme for Fuji TV’s “Mecha-Mecha Iketeru!” and reached No.
2 on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart.

A street corner where even lovers get wetNakamura Masatoshi

Masatoshi Nakamura hails from Onagawa, Oshika District, Miyagi Prefecture, and this song was released in 1982 as his 17th single.
It was selected as the theme song for Kamata March, and was also used as an insert song in the Fuji TV dramas Leave It to Me and Leave It to Me, My Wife.
The lyrics and music were written by Keisuke Kuwata, who composed the piece specifically for Nakamura.
