Hikaru Yaotome, a member of the idol group Hey! Say! JUMP, is from Sendai City in Miyagi Prefecture.
Their 10th single, “Come On A My House,” was used as the commercial song for House Foods’ Vermont Curry, featuring the group members in the ads.
AiTHE YOUTH

The four-piece rock band THE YOUTH has members from Miyagi Prefecture.
They are active mainly in their hometown of Sendai, Miyagi.
Their 6th single, “SYNCHRONICITY,” which includes the song “Ai,” won the Tohoku Region Award at the 5th CD Shop Awards.
Cooking MarchYUKA

YUKA is from Shiogama City in Miyagi Prefecture and is active as a backing vocalist for J-pop artists and as a jazz vocalist on stage, including work on anime songs.
This track was selected as the opening theme for Kiteretsu Daihyakka and became the longest-running opening theme in the series.
YEStamada rooy

Born in 1981, rapper Tamaki Roy hails from Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture.
His name is read “Tamaki Roi.” Inspired by BUDDHA BRAND he discovered through radio, he dove into hip-hop music and has since pursued art from multiple angles—not only in music but also in performing arts and advertising music.
His soft, gentle rap style is especially appealing.
He has contributed to albums by artists like Sakanaction and Akiko Yano, and his wonderful collaborations with other musicians—such as featuring Tavito Nanao—are not to be missed.

Nao, the drummer of the visual kei rock band A9, is from Sendai City in Miyagi Prefecture.
Their 10th single, TSUBASA., made it into the Oricon Top 10 for the first time.
Type-A includes a DVD featuring the music video for TSUBASA.
Wind, hurry.Dorothy Little Happy

Dorothy Little Happy is a girls’ unit based in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, and this song was released in 2012 as their third major-label single.
It’s a long-distance love song that turns the bonds they discovered with important people—realized while repeatedly traveling from Sendai—into a love song.
It was featured in commercials for Shimamura’s “CASUAL & SHOES Avail” and Honda Motor Co./Tohoku Honda Cars’ “Hajimete no Honda Cars.”
Indecipherablejin

Haruka, the guitarist of the rock band Jin, is from Wakayanagi, Kurihara District, Miyagi Prefecture (now Kurihara City).
Their third single, Kaidoku Funō, was used as the second opening theme for the MBS/TBS anime Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion.
With this single, they made their first entry into the Oricon Top 10.
