Yearning for youFuranku Nagai

Frank Nagai, who was active as a mood-kayō (mood music) singer, was from Matsuyama Town, Shida District, Miyagi Prefecture (now Ōsaki City).
He arranged Teiichi Futamura’s “Kimi Koishi” in a jazz style, and it became a big hit.
It was selected for the Grand Prix at the 3rd Japan Record Awards and has become one of Frank Nagai’s signature songs.
In 2009, he was named the first Special Meritorious Citizen of Ōsaki City, Miyagi Prefecture.
Welcome! Handsome☆ParadiseKano Eiko

Eiko Kano, who is active as a comedian and singer, is from Kurikoma Town, Kurihara District, Miyagi Prefecture (now Kurihara City).
He released “Welcome! Ikemen☆Paradise” as his debut single.

Kolme is a girls’ unit whose members are all from Miyagi Prefecture.
It was formed in 2014 by three members who graduated from the girls’ group Dorothy Little Happy.
They are entirely self-produced, handling everything from songwriting and composition to choreography, makeup, and costumes.
They made their major debut in 2015 with “To shine,” and at that time the group was called callme, pronounced the same as now.
In 2018, with overseas activities in mind, they changed the group’s name to its current styling.

Navi, who is active as a member of the music group GReeeeN, is from Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture.
Their 7th single, Kiseki, was chosen as the theme song for the TBS drama ROOKIES and ranked 4th on Oricon’s 2008 annual chart.
In 2017, a film depicting the true story behind the creation of this song was released.
Ah, Miyagi PrefectureYoshikawa Danjirō
Danjiro Yoshikawa, a native of Masuda Town in Natori District, Miyagi Prefecture—now the city of Natori—had a major hit with this song released in 1976.
He also appeared on Fuji TV’s “Yoru no Hit Studio,” and his deep affection for Miyagi Prefecture is evident.
His stage name is borrowed from Ichikawa Danjuro.
Eternal Traveler ~Dear Boy~Snow*

Snow* is from Yamamoto, Miyagi Prefecture, and previously performed under the name Yuki Otake.
This song was used as the ending theme for the TV anime The Idolmaster XENOGLOSSIA and was released in 2007.
In the 28th Horipro Talent Scout Caravan Love Music Audition in 2003, Yuki Otake won the Grand Prix out of 34,911 contestants.
