This is a playlist of songs used in bank commercials.

Most of the tracks were featured from the 2000s onward, so many of you might find yourselves thinking, “Oh yeah, I remember that commercial!” when you listen.

It includes songs that were used in regional bank ads, as well as tracks created exclusively for commercials that were never officially released.

This track, included on the album “Friends Again” released by Siamese Cats in 2017, was written and composed by Shinichi Sugawara, who also serves as the lead vocalist and guitarist.

It drew attention when it was used as the theme song for a Japan Post Bank commercial featuring Masahiro Motoki in his memorable role as “Yū-chan.”

They share how, thanks in part to Trunk, they’ve been able to grow their businesses smoothly, highlighting how Trunk supports many small and medium-sized enterprises.

The background music is “Ribbon” by Taiiku Okazaki, who previously appeared in a Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation commercial.

While Okazaki is often associated with humorous, playful songs, this track has a warm feel with a gentle tempo.

Sony Bank “A Debit Card That Stands Out Worldwide” Version

In the commercial introducing the appeal of Sony Bank’s debit card, the background music features SixTONES’ “BORDERLESS.” The song was written specifically for this CM, and its title reflects the idea that there are no boundaries and you can be free—echoing the debit card’s versatility both in Japan and abroad.

By meeting certain conditions, such as opening an account, you can receive cash, and the campaign appealingly showcases how it supports everyone’s “I want to do it!”

In Mizuho Financial Group’s commercial, they present their philosophy of thinking about each person’s future and happiness through money.

The ad shows many everyday people speaking to the camera, and their expressions—ranging from serious looks to bright smiles—are all truly wonderful.

The background music is the Bee Gees’ “Spicks and Specks,” a song released in 1966, notable for its lyrics that look back on the past with a sense of nostalgia.
