Because you are hereUru

[Official] Uru “Because You Are Here” — Theme Song for TBS Sunday Theater ‘Ship of Theseus’
Because you are hereUru

This is a digital-only single by Uru, released in February 2020.

It was reportedly written as the theme song for TBS’s Sunday drama “Ship of Theseus.” It’s a beautiful ballad featuring an acoustic piano and a striking symphonic arrangement.

While there aren’t many conspicuous falsetto passages in this track, if you listen closely to Uru’s vocals in the high notes, such as in the chorus, you’ll understand how crucial the subtle switching and nuanced use of different vocal registers are to expressive singing.

If you master this song for karaoke, you’ll surely gain a great deal.

Their songs, which captivate those around them with a mysterious worldview, are also loved for their delicate vocals.

It’s a popular track to belt out in falsetto at karaoke.

The song is difficult, with sustained high notes, but that’s exactly what makes it so cool—and why it’s so popular.

It’s up-tempo and catchy, the kind you want to play on repeat.

Which means you’ll end up wanting to sing it over and over, too.

To all my ex-girlfriendsKoresawa

Koresawa is a female singer-songwriter whose catchy lyrics have earned strong support from women of her generation.

If you’re in your teens to late twenties, you’ve probably heard one of her songs at least once.

Among her catalog, the track I especially recommend for its satisfying falsetto is “To All My Ex-Girlfriends.” It balances cuteness and emotional intensity, with the falsetto parts sung in a particularly expressive way.

It’s not a song that showcases jaw-dropping technical skill, but it’s perfect if you want to hear falsetto imbued with real feeling.

It’s Gen Hoshino’s 12th single, released on April 27, 2021 as a digital-only track.

It was reportedly written as the theme song for the TBS Tuesday drama ‘Kikazaru Koi ni wa Riyuu ga Atte’ (There’s a Reason for Dressing Up Love).

Gen Hoshino’s voice has a captivating quality in the mid-to-high range, and his vocal skill and expressiveness are fully on display in this song as well.

He delivers a performance that deftly employs gentle, high falsetto tones.

You could even say it’s an ideal piece for practicing mixed voice to falsetto transitions.

LetterUru

[Official] Uru “Tegami” Theme Song for the Film ‘Yukikaze’
LetterUru

Uru’s “Tegami” will be released as a digital single on August 13, 2025, and it was written as the theme song for the film “YUKIKAZE,” which opens on August 15.

It’s a song that highlights Uru’s signature delicate and beautiful falsetto.

When singing it, pay attention to breath control and the balance between low and high notes.

The opening A-melody and the section after the final chorus go down to around C3, so be careful not to let your pitch drop.

If you rely on your throat, you’ll end up carrying that throatiness into the higher notes, so aim to produce sound from the vocal folds throughout.

Try lifting your eyebrows and placing your voice gently in front of you to produce low notes.

Also, the chorus jumps suddenly into higher notes, so imagine resonating in your head and send the voice straight upward; that will make the falsetto come out more easily.

I’m coming to see you now.Uru

[Official] Uru “I'm Going to See You Now”
I'm coming to see you now.Uru

A track from Uru’s second album “Orion Blue,” released in March 2020.

She’s often introduced as a singer with a beautiful falsetto, but across the song as a whole there are many parts that seem to be sung in mixed voice.

The so-called “falsetto” only appears for a brief moment in the song when she gently sings the high notes, but the way she uses that soft, sigh-like falsetto in that instant is truly outstanding.

Swiftly and appropriately switching vocal production like this is quite difficult.

From the way she uses mixed voice in the chorus and other sections as well, you can tell she’s a singer with very advanced vocal and singing technique.

It’s also a highly recommended song to use for practicing falsetto production, including head voice and mixed voice.

Maplesupittsu

This is the 19th single by the Japanese rock band Spitz, released in July 1998 as a double A-side with the coupling track “Spica,” and it was used as the opening theme for TBS’s COUNT DOWN TV.

It’s a very relaxed ballad, but you can enjoy vocalist Masamune Kusano’s highly resonant falsetto, especially in the high notes of the chorus.

It seems likely he’s using a falsetto with a strong chest component—something close to what’s commonly called mixed voice—but in any case, it’s an excellent example of a male vocalist making effective use of falsetto.

Be sure to listen closely to the original and practice along.
