ROSEHANA

In 2025, it’s no exaggeration to say that HANA, a seven-member girl group, is one of the most talked-about acts.
Produced by Chanmina, their fluid blend of hip-hop and R&B delivers a world-class level of polish that has stunned audiences at home and abroad.
Their debut single “ROSE,” released in April 2025, became an unexpected smash for a rookie act—its music video amassed 15 million views on YouTube within three weeks—showcasing the remarkable potential of all seven members.
Their “no lip-syncing” policy speaks for itself; just watch their officially released live performances to see their skill.
Of course, that means you’ll need solid vocal ability to sing their songs at karaoke.
From powerful, R&B-style vocals that soar from high to low to tight, hard-hitting rap, if you and your confident singer friends can pull off a faithful recreation, you’ll undoubtedly be the stars of the night!
Before putting on the dressJiLL-Decoy association

JiLL-Decoy association, affectionately known as “Jirudeko” by hardcore music aficionados, is a band that has garnered steadfast support with their jazz-centered crossover works.
Among their catalog, the track I especially recommend as a particularly challenging piece is “Before Putting on a Dress.” This song is crafted with a vibe that feels like neo-soul with strong jazz elements.
Its modulations and rhythmic phrasing are highly sophisticated—unlike typical Japanese songs—so even just matching the pitch will be quite a task.
guidelinesUru

This is Uru’s fifth digital-only single, released in May 2023.
It was selected as the theme song for Fuji TV’s Monday 9 p.m.
drama “Kazama Kojin – Kyojo 0.” Over a beautifully symphonic backing track, Uru’s emotionally rich vocals can be fully appreciated.
From the quiet singing at the beginning—where even breath noise seems to be used as part of the vocal expression—to the soaring vocals in the chorus, it’s a very challenging song to perform at karaoke.
Precisely because of that, if you can sing it brilliantly, you’ll be sure to become the center of attention.
Listen closely to Uru’s subtle breathing and give it a try.
Charlesbarūn

The Vocaloid song “Charles” has become very popular thanks to covers by many singers and artists—do you all know it? I always sing it in the original key, but it’s quite difficult! The range is C#3 to C#5, so it’s really high, and I find the parts in the chorus where the melody leaps up and down especially challenging.
There’s also a spot near the start of the A section where the melody climbs.
For sections like these, if you visualize the exact pitch you want to hit—like aiming an arrow at a target—your voice will come out more comfortably.
Also, the rhythm in the B section tends to rush, so try to sing each note carefully to keep the timing steady.
Most Vocaloid songs are high, but if you’re confident in your high notes, you might be able to sing “Charles” in the original key—so definitely give it a try!
DIGNITYAdo

This is Ado’s 19th digital-only single, released in September 2023.
It was chosen as the theme song for the film The Silent Service, which premiered in September 2023.
By the way, the songwriting was handled by B’z members Inaba and Matsumoto.
If you want to recreate this song in karaoke, the most important point is how well you can reproduce Ado’s own dynamic vocal style.
Even in the quieter sections, keep your voice steady and confident; and in the high notes like the chorus, be careful not to tighten your throat and produce a thin, constricted tone.
Saviortsukuyomi

This is the 13th digital single from Tsukuyomi, the music project by Vocaloid producer YurryCanon, released in July 2023.
Amid a fiercely intricate, up-and-down vocal melody, vocalist Yue delivers a wonderfully dramatic performance, expertly switching among a wide array of high tones.
If you can nail this song coolly at karaoke, you’ll definitely draw everyone’s attention! That said, it’s a pretty difficult piece to sing, so please be careful not to strain your voice.
sad to sayJASMINE

JASMINE is a female singer-songwriter known for her powerful, realistic lyrics.
Many of you may already know her, as global R&B singer Ne-Yo has also taken notice of her work.
Among her songs, the one I especially recommend is “sad to say.” In addition to its inherently challenging vocal lines, it features R&B essentials like vocal runs, frequent use of falsetto, and very few break points—subtle elements that make it deceptively difficult to sing.
