Zankyo SankaAimer

This is Aimer’s 20th single, released in January 2022.
It was issued as a double A-side with the coupling track “Asa ga Kuru.” It was used as the opening theme for the TV anime Demon Slayer: Entertainment District Arc.
With its wide vocal range and fast-paced, rapid-fire delivery, this is a song that demands high-level vocal technique and expressive power.
Precisely because of that, if you can pull it off, you’ll undoubtedly steal the spotlight around you! From a producer’s perspective, I personally think the most crucial point is to consciously reproduce the rest right before the final word of the chorus.
Be sure to really let that moment “breathe,” and sing it with a strong sense of that deliberate pause.
monotoneYOASOBI

YOASOBI’s masterpiece “Monotone.” When it comes to YOASOBI, they’re known for lots of high-range parts, with vocal lines that repeatedly switch between chest voice and falsetto—very distinctive, right? This piece, however, differs from that impression; in a word, it feels like a song with an extremely wide vocal range.
The low notes in particular are astonishingly low—most women with an average voice type simply can’t produce them.
The chorus does bring in solid high parts as well, making it a high-difficulty song that really depends on the singer’s vocal quality.
A bouquet of flowers with loveSuperfly

This is Superfly’s fourth single overall, released in February 2008.
It was used as the theme song for the TBS drama “The Mother of Edison.” Shiho Ochi, the vocalist known for her consistently acclaimed vocal ability, showcases her powerful voice and wide range to the fullest in this signature Superfly track.
If you can sing it as powerfully and dynamically as she does, you’ll undoubtedly be the center of attention at karaoke! Just be careful not to strain your throat on the high notes—if you clamp down, you won’t achieve her expansive, powerful sound and you may end up hurting your voice.
Please take good care.
Miko of the Flood DragonOnmyoza

A magnificent Japanese-style metal track where Japanese aesthetics collide with heavy metal! Onmyo-za is known as a yokai heavy metal band, but above all, vocalist Kuroneko’s soaring high notes are absolutely stunning.
I love Onmyo-za and sing their songs often, and I think Mizuuchi no Miko might be the highest-pitched among their tracks.
The twin guitars are incredibly cool, so it’s highly recommended for heavy metal fans.
When singing, sustained high notes, traditional Japanese-style phrasing, and the challenging vocabulary raise the difficulty.
First, Onmyo-za’s lyrics use archaic language and difficult kanji, so you definitely should memorize the lyrics! You might also start with one of Onmyo-za’s most famous songs, Koga Ninpōchō.
moonlightOnitsuka Chihiro

This was Chihiro Onitsuka’s second single, released in August 2000.
It was used as the theme song for the TV Asahi drama “TRICK.” Thanks in part to the drama’s success, the song climbed from its Oricon weekly chart debut at No.
30 up to No.
11, and it stayed on the charts for nearly ten months as a long-running hit.
Over a simple backing track centered on piano and strings, Onitsuka’s emotionally rich vocals stand out, and singing it as she does is quite challenging.
Practice to avoid constricting your throat on the high notes and to switch smoothly between vocal registers.
In karaoke, applying a relatively deep echo to your voice can also be important for achieving a pleasing sound, so be sure to give it a try.
HeroYOASOBI

It’s the 20th digital single by the music duo YOASOBI, released in September 2023.
The song is used as the opening theme for the TV anime Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.
It’s an up-tempo track built on a vocal melody that moves intensely and intricately up and down, and I feel it requires quite a high level of vocal ability and expressive control to sing well.
A precise sense of rhythm is also very important.
In addition to smooth and appropriate register transitions, the way you cut off notes and sustain them in each phrase is crucial.
I recommend writing out the lyrics, carefully marking where to cut notes and so on, and studying in advance before singing.
Biscuitchanmina

Chanmina is a female rapper who has earned strong support from many women, armed with outstanding musicality and fashion.
Among her many hit tunes, the one I especially recommend is Biscuit.
While the overall vibe of this track is on the downbeat side, there’s a section in the C melody where she delivers a mix voice with powerful shouts.
Anyone can match the pitch, but producing a mix voice with that level of impact is extremely challenging—so give it a try!
