The school festival of Kyoto Institute of Technology is called the Matsugasaki Festival. Named directly after Matsugasaki, the address of the area around the campus, the festival’s highlight is its handmade tents. Since KIT has departments related to design and architecture, the festival also serves as a venue for students to showcase the results of their daily studies.

The Shigetsu Festival takes its name from the fact that the area around Kyoto Bunkyo Uji Campus was once called “Shigetsu no Sato.” With an official mascot character and a pre-event, the Ryōbo Festival, held in July, it exudes a charm unique to Kyoto. Highlights include their proactive programming, such as hosting voice actor talk shows.

Tachibana Festival | Kyoto Tachibana UniversitySat 11/8 – Sun 11/9, Kyoto Prefecture

It’s the autumn campus festival at Kyoto Tachibana University.
