The ND Festival is held in late October at Notre Dame Women’s University, located in the northern part of Kyoto. It’s a campus festival where you can meet star-studded guests, including live performances by comedians and talk shows by famous actors. There are also events unique to a women’s college!

Ryubi Festival is Kyoto University of Advanced Science’s school festival, held in late October on the Kameoka Campus. It enjoys a high participation rate from local residents and is very lively. The laser art at the finale is beautiful and offers an impact you won’t find at other school festivals.

Kyokan Festival | Kyoto College of NursingSun, Oct 19 — Kyoto Prefecture
It’s the school festival of Kyoto Nursing University. In addition to student-run food stalls, a variety of stage events will be held. In past years, there were activities like a karaoke contest, a cross-dressing (male-to-female and female-to-male) contest, and even a bingo tournament. It looks like there will also be a manzai comedy stage, so that should be fun.

Arashi Arts Festival | Saga University of ArtsOct 18 (Sat) – 19 (Sun), Kyoto Prefecture
Aran Geisai is the school festival of Saga Art University. “Aran” is pronounced “ran” and is taken from Arashiyama, a nearby tourist spot. The festival features student exhibitions and stage events. Come enjoy Kyoto in the autumn.
