[For Girls] Make It with Everyday Items! Simple but Super Cute Craft Ideas (111–120)
Long Boots Piggy Bank
Let’s make use of those memory-filled items! Here’s an idea for a rain boot piggy bank.
Many of us feel that children grow up so fast.
Clothes and shoes need to be replaced each time… throwing them away as they are is such a waste! This time, let’s repurpose outgrown rain boots and turn them into a piggy bank.
What you’ll need: outgrown rain boots, interlocking foam mats, scissors or a utility knife, adhesive, and so on.
It’s nice to be able to keep using your favorite rain boots as a piggy bank, isn’t it?

Handmade Happy Noodles
https://www.tiktok.com/@n.annlee321/video/7317570138859900162Looks just like the real thing! Let’s handcraft some happy noodles.
Flatten a cotton ball made from yellow embroidery thread to form a lump of noodles.
Also, wrap another embroidery thread around chopsticks and soak it in water mixed with liquid starch.
Once it dries and you remove it, it will turn into curly noodles, so make some of those too.
Use a small paper cup as the container and attach a package label you designed with a design app.
Put in the noodles and a packet of toppings, then stick on the lid to finish! You might even be able to use it as a keychain if you add some parts.
Tissue box bag

A cute, rounded-rectangle shoulder bag—believe it or not, it’s made from an empty tissue box! It’s very easy to make.
Leave the bottom of the empty box attached, and cut a slit so the box can open cleanly in half.
On one side, cut away everything except the bottom and one side wall.
Use the piece you cut off to cover the tissue-dispensing opening.
The key is not to seal it completely.
This opening will hold the tab that acts as the bag’s clasp, keeping the lid firmly shut.
Punch holes, thread a cord for the strap, and decorate in your favorite colors to finish.
Butterfly flower hair clip

Let’s make adorable butterfly and flower clips.
In the video, the butterfly part uses store-bought pieces, but you can also cut your own from sturdy materials like construction paper.
First, decorate the butterfly freely with colored pencils or beads.
Then simply use a hot glue gun to attach the butterfly to a clip, and you’re done! You can make the flowers the same way: punch out lots of flower shapes from origami or construction paper, layer them, and glue them to a clip.
They’re perfect not only for holding books and notebooks, but also as cute interior decorations.
These bright, cheerful accessories will liven up your mood—give them a try!
Kaleidoscope in an ice cup

A kaleidoscope where you can enjoy geometric, mysterious pattern changes.
Let’s make such a kaleidoscope using an ice cream cup.
First, use nail polish remover to erase the letters and designs from two ice cream cup lids.
Next, cut aluminum foil to your preferred length, fold it three times to make a long, narrow rectangle, then cut it into shorter pieces, roll each into a tube, and secure with tape.
Make many small tubes and pack them tightly into the ice cream cup without gaps.
Then put on a lid and sprinkle beads or pieces of translucent origami paper cut into small shapes on top.
Finally, place the other lid on top and tape it in place to finish.
Point it toward the sunlight and spin it around to play.
3 simple coasters

How about making coasters as a summer vacation craft? Here, we’ll introduce three methods.
The first is a coaster made by arranging tiles on top of paper clay.
The second is a coaster made by lining up beads and melting them in the microwave.
The third is a summery coaster that expresses a seasonal scene by placing shells, sequins, and stickers in resin.
They’re all easy to make, so give them a try.
You can buy most of the materials at 100-yen shops.
Simple kaleidoscope

Let’s make a kaleidoscope that shows rainbow colors.
Prepare three mirrors for a kaleidoscope and glue them together into a triangular prism with the mirror sides facing inward.
Place this inside a toilet paper tube, and seal one end with black construction paper that you’ve pierced with numerous holes using a pin.
Seal the other end with black construction paper that has a diffraction (rainbow) film attached at the center.
Finally, decorate the outside of the toilet paper tube with masking tape or similar, and you’re done! It’s very easy, so please give it a try.
It’s not a kaleidoscope with changing patterns, but the rainbow colors are truly beautiful.
