It was released in 1981 as Seiko Matsuda’s seventh single.
The song was created by the powerhouse duo of lyricist Takashi Matsumoto and composer Eiichi Ohtaki, and it was also used as the theme for a Glico Pocky commercial in which Seiko herself appeared.
