Most people probably use smartphone apps in their daily lives.
So, what I’d like to propose is making a smartphone app.
The process of creating a smartphone app can be divided into three main steps: first, designing the concept and features; second, developing the app itself; and third, undergoing the review process to publish it on the marketplace.
It’s exciting to think that the app you created will appear in the store, isn’t it? Start by researching the basics, such as how apps work.
Attending a workshop is also a good option.
A science project you can just leave alone
It’s hard to decide what to do for an independent research project, and you don’t want to spend too much time on it, right? So why not try some ideas that you can basically just set and forget? Here are three simple projects.
The first is to line colorful candy-coated chocolates around the rim of a plate, pour in water, and observe what happens.
The second is to soak an egg in vinegar to make a “skeleton egg.” The third is to dip kitchen paper into colored water and observe how it absorbs and changes color.
All of them are very easy, so give them a try!

Food tech uses the power of technology to tackle food-related challenges such as global food shortages and hunger, as well as labor shortages in agriculture and fisheries.

This experiment recreates its mechanism using an empty bottle and fuel alcohol.

Since you will be using a power drill and fire, pay close attention to safety and be sure to conduct the experiment only when a family member is present.
Investigate and summarize topics such as what adjusting the hole size means, the conditions required for engine ignition, and how to keep it running for a longer time.

In simple terms, the phase of a sound is how the sound changes over a given period of time.
Put even more plainly, it’s the waveform—the wave of the sound itself.
When you’re wearing earphones and play exactly the same sound from both the right and left channels, it will seem to come from the center.
I encourage you to look into how the perceived position of a sound works and how shifts in phase change what you hear.
When two sounds with exactly opposite phase meet, you can get the strange phenomenon where the sound is being produced but you hear nothing.
Highly recommended for music lovers.
Summary of the nature observation trail
When it comes to independent research projects, many people might think of creating reports based on experiments in chemistry or physics, but preparing for those can be a lot of work, and some people simply aren’t good at that sort of thing.
If you enjoy being in nature, try finding and documenting your own nature observation trail.
Exploring places where various insects, animals, and plants live and turning them into an illustrated map will look great and make the project feel like an enjoyable outdoor activity.
There are even nature observation trail competitions, so if you put real effort into it, it can become an excellent independent research project.

It’s also wonderful to try your hand at aquariums, which have become popular in recent years.
An aquarium is a setup that houses living creatures in a tank.
For example, a tank with fish swimming in it is an aquarium, and a tank with shrimp is also called an aquarium.
Adjust the placement of objects, aquatic plants, and lighting to create an aquarium that’s uniquely your own.
