Making Whirly Colorful Umbrellas
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a perfect rainy-season craft: the “Colorful Umbrella”! The materials are colored construction paper and a bamboo skewer; the tools you’ll use are a compass, scissors, and double-sided tape.
It’s easy to make: use the compass to draw circles on the colored paper, then cut along the lines with scissors.
Once you have 10 paper circles, fold each one twice in a cross pattern so they all become identical fan shapes.
Next, tape the inside of each fan shape with double-sided tape, then attach the outsides of the 10 fan shapes to one another.
Before sealing the final section, don’t forget to insert the bamboo skewer at the center! Hang the beautiful Colorful Umbrella indoors and give it a spin—its twirling colors are sure to brighten even a rainy day.
