Music, Dance, and Rhythm Games (1–10)

I love you game

[CDTV] Legendary Episode! Nogizaka46 'I Love You' Game Ultimate Champion Decider
I love you game

The “I love you game” isn’t just for couples—it’s a blast with friends, too.

Pair up, face each other head-on, and say “I love you.” The person being told replies with “One more time,” and you keep repeating it.

If you laugh or get embarrassed, you lose—simple as that.

Take this chance to say the words “I love you,” which are hard to say out loud, over and over in different ways! Play it with friends you wouldn’t normally say “I love you” to, and it’s guaranteed to get everyone hyped.

Makki Game

[Viral Game] That person was way too strong! Neo, Honoka, and Yukidaruma play the Mackey Game together!
Makki Game

This is a game called the “Makkie Game,” played with Makkie oil-based markers.

Stand about 10 colored Makkies upright on a table and, when someone calls a color like “red Makkie” or “green Makkie,” grab that color.

Occasionally there’s a fake-out with “Mickey,” in which case you pick up two Makkies and hold them like Mickey Mouse ears.

You can add your own rules to make it more exciting, such as being out if you grab the wrong color or knock any markers over.

Pin Pon Pan Game

NATURE’s “Challenge the PinPonPan Game” PinPonPan GAME
Pin Pon Pan Game

The more people you have, the trickier—and more fun—it gets: the Ping-Pon-Pan game.

It’s easy to play and perfect for killing a bit of time! First, in order down the line, the first person says “Ping,” the next person says “Pon,” and the person after that says “Pan.” Only the person who says the final “Pan” points to someone while saying it, indicating who will say the next “Ping.” The person they point to doesn’t have to be a neighbor.

Since the flow suddenly jumps somewhere unexpected, both the chosen person and the people next to them often panic.

The more players there are, the more suspenseful it gets wondering who’ll be chosen next!

Finger Smash

We tried 'Yubi-suma' with 100 people, and here's what happened…
Finger Smash

It’s that “Yubi-suma” game they showed on TV.

It’s also famous for having different names depending on the region and generation.

You put both hands out in fists, and at the “Yubi-suma” call, you call out a number.

At that moment, you either raise your thumb or keep it down.

If the total number of thumbs raised matches the number you called, you can remove one hand.

The first person to remove both hands wins.

Mozzarella Cheese Game

[Insane Game] Mozzarella Cheese Game
Mozzarella Cheese Game

This is the “Mozzarella Cheese Game,” where you just keep saying “mozzarella cheese.” You might wonder what’s fun about it, but there’s only one rule: say “mozzarella cheese” with higher energy than the person before you.

If you start off too hyped, you’ll pay for it later, so begin gently.

It’s a contest of expressiveness.

playing rock-paper-scissors after seeing the opponent’s move (i.e., acting with hindsight/cheating)

After-the-fact rock-paper-scissors you can play anywhere, anytime.

Your reflexes are tested by seeing the opponent’s hand and responding to it on the spot.

You can play in various ways—keep losing, keep winning, or follow instructions like “please win” or “please lose,” and you fail if you don’t obey.

It’s simple but tests your reaction speed, making it a game you can’t help but get a little desperate about.

USA game

[Come on, baby, America] The dancing U.S.A. game was way too much fun!!!!
USA game

This is a game played using DA PUMP’s song “U.S.A.,” which became a huge hit in 2018 for being “corny yet cool.” The game was created by the popular comedy duo Chocolate Planet, and it proceeds with players dancing to the chorus while taking turns saying “ordinary things about America.” If you hesitate or say something that doesn’t feel American, you lose.

It’s a simple game that became popular, and thanks to its catchy, easy-to-understand nature, it’s also a good recommendation for middle schoolers.
