Sunflower pinwheel
@utatan_simple_crafts I tried making a sunflower-shaped pinwheel using paper cups 🌻 You can paint a white paper cup, or if you want a quick, crisp finish, use a colored paper cup ♪ My 4-year-old daughter looked at a sunflower picture book, cut the paper cup into petal shapes, and colored it with a water-based marker 🖋 There are various ways to attach the stick and pinwheel, but this time I made it so it won’t pop off easily and is less likely to cause injury even if it breaks 👆 It looks adorable when you hold it, too—a cute little pinwheel 🌻 Give it a try 😊 ⚠︎ When making holes or cutting toothpicks with scissors, be very careful to avoid injury. If you’re crafting with small children, please have an adult handle these steps. ★ Materials ★ ✳︎ Paper cups (2 of the same size) ✳︎ 1 toothpick ✳︎ 3 beads (with holes that the toothpick can pass through) ✳︎ Green construction paper (1 sheet) ✳︎ Brown origami paper (about 75 cm square) ★ Tools ★ ✳︎ Scissors ✳︎ Wood glue ✳︎ Clear tape ✳︎ Glue stick ✳︎ A tool for making holes (push pin, awl, etc.) ✳︎ Coloring supplies if you want to add color ⚠️️ Because this is an original project, we kindly prohibit the following: ▪︎ Unauthorized reproduction of images/videos ▪︎ Reproduction and use for commercial purposes ▪︎ Unauthorized use in fee-based craft/art classes or workshops If you post a reference project, please mention @utatan_simple_crafts ✨ We’d love to see your makes, too! ****************************************** Original craft recipes for parents and kids to enjoy Utatan’s Simple Crafts ⇨ @utatan_simple_crafts Thank you 🐰✨ ******************************************work#I love crafts#HandmadeToysLife with children#Childcare CraftingsunflowerSunflower#SunflowerCraftwindmill#Summer CraftProduction in JulyProduction in AugustChildcare#StayHomePlay Project#AtHomePlaypaper cupPaper cup craftScrap Material CraftingSimple craftParentingEducational#kidscrafts#papercup#papercupctaftSummer Craft

Cute looks, too! Let me share a sunflower pinwheel idea.
You’ll need a paper cup and scissors.
Make 12 evenly spaced cuts into the cup, then spread the blades out like a propeller.
The key is to tilt the base of each blade about 30 degrees—and be sure to angle them all in the same direction.
You can also add leaves made from construction paper to the handle if you like.
Try making this sunflower that spins in the wind—its cheerful, cute look is sure to brighten your day!
Panel of Anpanman
Here’s a handmade spinning top idea that’s perfect for kids who love Anpanman.
The charm is that you can make it with materials you have at home, like paper plates and plastic bottle caps! It’s designed so even small children can spin it easily, so why not make it together with your child? First, create Anpanman’s face slightly smaller than the paper plate.
Next, cover a plastic bottle cap with vinyl tape to make his nose and fix it in the center of Anpanman’s face.
Also attach another cap to the center on the back side of the paper plate.
To finish, stick square-cut pieces of sparkly origami paper around the edge of the plate—and you’re done! Try making other characters too, like Baikinman, not just Anpanman.
rattle
A baby’s first toy could be a rattle.
Let’s make one with an Anpanman theme.
Prepare something sturdy like a plastic wrap core or poster paper tube, and wrap it with construction paper or colored tape.
Attach the faces of Anpanman characters to the round openings.
Make the faces from construction paper and cover them with clear tape so the paper won’t get damaged and the toy will last longer.
Since the tube is hollow inside, put in bells or beads.
When a child holds and shakes it, it makes a fun sound!
Sandwich shop
How about making a sandwich toy inspired by Anpanman characters? Try creating a baguette with Anpanman or Shokupanman faces, along with fillings like ham, cheese, and vegetables.
The basic material is felt.
Since the baguette needs thickness, you’ll have to stuff it with cotton or similar material and sew it, but you can probably make the other parts by attaching them with glue.
Be sure to use your child’s favorite character and enjoy pretend play together!
Ball Rolling & Puzzle
This craft lets you enjoy both a puzzle and a marble-rolling game with a single creation, so it’s great for keeping kids engaged for a long time.
The puzzle is simple: cut out the round parts of the illustration and fit them back in, making it suitable even for younger children.
When playing the marble-rolling game, remove the round pieces used for the puzzle, place a ball on the illustration, and tilt it so the ball falls into the cut-out holes.
Since you can switch between the two modes daily, it’s also a craft that older adults can enjoy regularly without getting bored.
Puzzle using a picture book
A craft where you turn a favorite page from a beloved picture book into a puzzle is sure to get kids excited.
Simply color-copy the chosen page to the size of the frame, paste it onto thick paper, and cut it into any shapes you like—that’s all it takes, so it’s an easy project to tackle.
If it’s an illustration from a favorite page, even smaller, more detailed pieces are easier to recognize, making it great for memory training for seniors as well.
Try adjusting the size so it can be played with on the go, and explore its many uses.

Five-shot rubber band chopstick gun

With five disposable chopsticks and sixteen rubber bands, you can make a five-shot rapid-fire chopstick gun! Cut the chopsticks to the required lengths for the body, trigger, and grip parts, and assemble them into a gun shape while securing them with rubber bands.
If you set five rubber bands with the trigger locked on the finished gun, you’ll have a chopstick gun capable of rapid fire.
It’s exciting to think you can make a rapid-fire chopstick gun so easily! When cutting, the edges tend to become jagged, so be sure to sand them smooth with a file or sandpaper to avoid injury.
