When you’re feeling down, is there something you “always do”? For some people it might be exercise or going for a drive, but I’m sure many turn to listening to music.

As you listen to songs created by many artists, each infused with their own messages, you start to feel encouraged bit by bit, don’t you? This time, I’ll introduce plenty of songs that will stay close to your weary heart and lift your spirits.

I hope you catch the message in each song and that your heart feels a little lighter.

To each of their tomorrowsieiri reo

Leo Ieiri – “Toward Each Tomorrow” (Cheering Song of the 95th All Japan High School Soccer Championship)
To each of their tomorrowsieiri reo

This is Leo Ieiri’s cheer song, selected as the support song for the 95th All Japan High School Soccer Tournament.

It’s not only for the young soccer players striving for the championship, but serves as an anthem for all teenagers, including high school students, and for everyone who listens.

Even when things don’t go well and you lose heart—when you shed tears and feel down—it tells you, “It’s okay! You’re not alone!” and encourages you: “So keep pushing toward the dream you’ve envisioned!”

YUME WeatherShimatani Hitomi

Released in 2003 as Hitomi Shimatani’s 13th single.

The song was used as the ending theme for the Doraemon TV series in the second half of 2003, and also as the ending theme for the 2004 animated film Doraemon: Nobita in the Wan-Nyan Spacetime Odyssey.

It’s a refreshing and gentle song that wishes for the small happiness of everyday life, making it a heartwarming piece.

Grateful, thrilled, and overwhelmed like a stormarashi

Released in 2000 as Arashi’s fourth single.

It was used as the opening theme for the Fuji TV drama “Namida wo Fuite,” starring Kazunari Ninomiya, and is a popular song known for expressing gratitude to fans.

The lyrics convey that everyone lives for someone and that there is always someone who needs you—words that lift you up when you’re feeling down.

It’s a song you want to listen to while savoring the lyrics.

I want to be kinder.Saitō Kazuyoshi

Kazuyoshi Saito – I Want to Be Kind [Live at Nippon Budokan 2012.2.11]
I want to be kinder.Saitō Kazuyoshi

It’s a hit song by the popular artist Kazuyoshi Saito.

It became a hot topic after being chosen as the theme song for the drama “I’m Mita, Your Housekeeper.” It’s a song I recommend when you’re troubled or feeling down about relationships and the like, so why not give it a listen?

Under the same skyayaka

This is one of Ayaka’s classic songs, released in 2009.

Around that time, she was suffering from a throat illness.

Since Ayaka is such a great singer, I’m sure she struggled a lot.

Even in such difficult circumstances, when you listen to this song you can feel her brilliance and the power she holds within.

Her positive attitude will give you a push forward!

We can goOnitsuka Chihiro

Chihiro Onitsuka was, for a time, a scandal-prone artist who stirred up talk shows and the tabloids, but I believe her voice is a natural-born talent.

It’s truly remarkable, and it’s hard to find an artist who sounds similar.

That’s why it would make a great wake-up song.

The One and Only Flower in the WorldSMAP

Released in 2003 as SMAP’s 35th single, the song was written and composed by Noriyuki Makihara.

It was used as the theme song for the Kansai TV/Kyodo TV-produced Fuji TV drama “Boku no Ikiru Michi,” starring Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, and, despite being an album track, it drew considerable attention.

The line “It’s okay not to be number one; you are special and there’s no one like you” gives you courage and lightens your heart.
