Don’t avert your eyes.DEEN

This is DEEN’s fifth single overall, released on June 22, 1994.
It was used as the theme song for Otsuka Pharmaceutical’s Pocari Sweat commercial.
Not just for this song, but in the ’90s the music industry placed great importance on how well songs would be sung in the karaoke market, so tracks released in that era are a treasure trove of karaoke-friendly tunes.
This song is no exception: from its very memorable and easy-to-sing chorus melody to the rest of the track, it’s packed with melodies that are easy to hum along to.
The key isn’t very high either, so even men who struggle with high notes might be able to sing it in the original key.
When you actually sing it, just be careful not to drag the rhythm or make it too flat.
Bedroom TalkOfisharu Higedan Dism

A song by Official HIGE DANDism (hereafter, HIGEDAN), released on August 18, 2021.
It’s built on a very simple and catchy melody—very much a HIGEDAN-style track.
The tempo is slow, but the rhythm and melody have a slight swing, so when you sing it, be sure to maintain that “swung feel.” Satoshi Fujihara, HIGEDAN’s vocalist, is a singer with exceptional technique and expressive power, and in this song he uses a variety of vocal tones and expressions to deliver a highly engaging performance.
That said, as mentioned earlier, the melody itself is simple and easy to follow, so even humming it casually like a little tune is more than enough to enjoy it!
A Good Day to Set Out on a JourneyTanimura Shinji

This is the 41st single by Shinji Tanimura, who sadly passed away recently (October 2023), released in March 2008.
It’s a self-cover single of a song he originally provided to Momoe Yamaguchi in 1978.
As of November 2023, many people in their 50s and older may remember Yamaguchi’s original version.
It’s a very gentle, mellow piece that, I think, evokes the feeling of a distant journey under open skies.
The vocal lines are easy for anyone to hum along with, so I highly recommend selecting it for karaoke even if you’re not confident in your singing.

Tiger & DragonCRAZY KEN BAND
This song, featuring a cool, masculine singing voice, is the fifth single by Crazy Ken Band, released in 2002.
A TV drama with the same title as the song also became a hot topic.
Its slow rhythm and distinctive melody are easy to remember.
Before winter endsShimizu Shota

This is Shota Shimizu’s 12th single, released in December 2011.
Shimizu himself is an R&B singer highly regarded for his vocal ability, and because of his distinctive, higher-pitched voice, some people might feel there’s a bit of a hurdle when trying it in karaoke.
However, the song itself has a very singable and simple melody.
When you sing it at karaoke, I think it’s best not to focus too much on replicating his original version.
If you use mixed voice and falsetto effectively, you can deliver it in an even cooler, more compelling way!
It’s love.V6

At the FNS Music Festival, the session between Tamaki of Anzenchitai and Miyavi was so brilliant that it drew huge acclaim, and the original V6 version also came into the spotlight.
The session with V6 in another year was moving as well.
Naturally, that’s thanks to the strength of the original song.
Its melody and lyrics are easy to remember, so I highly recommend it.
Beyond the purple nightsupittsu

This is a song by the Japanese rock band Spitz, released digitally on March 25, 2021 as their 44th single.
It also served as the ending theme for TBS’s NEWS23, so many of you may have heard it there.
The track features a lively rhythm and a distinctly Spitz-like pop melody, making it an easy, sing-along choice for karaoke.
Since the high notes can be tough in the original key, those who struggle with high ranges should consider adjusting the key.
