Summer Music Festival Held in Eastern Japan [2026]

“Yumemura” is an open-air party held at the Village Hakushu campground in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture. Under the official tagline “Spark an idea! A delightfully nonsensical party!”, this three-day, two-night stay-over event brings together a diverse mix of live acts, DJs, food, and shops without sticking to any one music genre. In 2026, it will take place from July 18 to 20, offering an intense experience where bustle and relaxation intersect amidst the nature of Hakushu.

Launched in 2013 as a 10th-anniversary project for URBAN RESEARCH DOORS and relocated in 2022 to TINY GARDEN Tateshina in Chino City, Nagano Prefecture, this is a community-rooted festival. With the concept of a “garden party unfolding in a small garden,” it offers parent-and-child-friendly experiences through programs spanning clothing, food, housing, and play. In 2026, it will be held on June 6–7, featuring performances by Yuta Orisaka, Yuko Ando, and more.

A camp-in festival held once a year at “ist – Aokinodaira Field,” a campsite in Kawakami Village, Nagano Prefecture, on the eastern foothills of Yatsugatake at an elevation of 1,350 meters. True to the name “Weave,” it offers a one-night, two-day experience that interlaces not only music but also nature, food, and conversations with vendors, while maintaining an intimate scale with a capacity of 250 people. Distinctive features include bookings mindful of performances that harmonize with the forest, and stage decorations crafted by a carpenter team using materials from the grounds. Scheduled for June 2026.

This is an outdoor festival led by citizens and the local community, serving as the centerpiece of the annual anniversary event “Shinshu Renaissance,” held at the Shinshu International Music Village in Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture. The venue features performance stages and an exchange market-style marche, marking the opening of a series of music festivals hosted by the foundation. It will be held on June 13, 2026, followed by a piano recital by Miyuji Kaneko on the 14th and a jazz live performance by Akira Okumura on the 27th.
