Umikaji (Across the Sea) by the Okinawan band Parsha Club has been used as a commercial song for Okinawa’s Orion Beer.
Although the lyrics, written in the Okinawan dialect Uchinaaguchi, are bittersweet, the band’s free, distinctive vocal style and the sound of the sanshin evoke the deep blue expanse of Okinawa’s sea.

Formed by childhood friends from Ishigaki Island in Okinawa, BEGIN is a three-piece acoustic band whose hometown-loving songs have been cherished for many years.
Their track “Ojii Jiman no Orion Beer,” used as the CM song for Orion The Draft, is included on the concept album “Begin no Shimauta ~Omoto Takeo 2~.” The lively ensemble paired with visuals featuring Okinawa natives active in various fields is a perfect match for Orion Beer.
With its sanshin-forward sound that’s both bright and nostalgic, it’s an up-tempo tune ideal for the commercial’s theme.
